Product details

The tabletop has pre-drilled holes to make it easier to attach to the underframe.

Board-on-frame is a strong and lightweight material with a frame in wood, particleboard or fiberboard and a recycled paper filling. It requires less raw materials and is easy to transport, which reduces the environmental impact.

Good to know

This tabletop is suitable to use with legs from our Build Your Own Desk range. It's not suitable to use with underframes from our office range (like MITTZON, TROTTEN or IDÅSEN).

Care

Wipe clean using a damp cloth and a mild cleaner.

Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

For increased stability, re-tighten the screws about two weeks after assembly and when necessary.

Safety and compliance

This table has been developed and tested for home use and is not suitable for installation of a screen stand. Maximum evenly distributed weight is 50 kg. Do not place concentrated weight exceeding 15 kg on a small surface on the table.For table tops with lengths 200 cm an extra leg is needed for stability.This table has been developed for home use and meets the requirements for durability and stability set forth in the following standards: EN 12521 and EN 1730.

insanely thin skinAnonymous reviewerI have to be really careful using my desk as to not damage it. It is remarkable how thin they were able to get the coating on this desktop. it is immeasurably thin, almost paintlike. the metal clasp of my watch has worn holes through the top just by typing. if you drop a pen wrong, you'll get a hole. if you've lost the rubber pads on your laptop, shifting it can scratch through the coating. I know it's cheap ikea stuff, but goodness me they could have at least doubled the thickness of the coating. 2

Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
