Flawed parts StephanieBought this from Coquitlam IKEA and couldn’t get past step 2, attaching the top ring. Watched multiple assembly videos on YouTube and the shade is slightly different from what I bought, so it’s likely a design flaw. I exchanged it 3 times and every lamp had the same issue, so it might be a problem with the whole batch sent to Vancouver.
impossible to assemble the lamp brokeZoéAWFUL instructions. impossible to assemble. the lamp broke on the first step when we tried to flip it around to get the first hoop on.
impossible instructionsChristyonce made it is a very pretty lamp but it took an eternity trying to assemble it as the instructions needed deciphering, decoding, made absolutely no sense. please do better with the instructions, ikea.
Very cool home lightingRossThis lamp has a unique and attractive design. It's a bit tricky to put together, but once assembled it looks very cool. It makes a great bedside lamp in one of our bedrooms. The IKEA bulb looks great (make sure you get the globe shaped bulb, as the chandelier style bulb is too tall to fit).
Pleated lamp on budgetTanyaI’d been searching for a small pleated lamp, and IKEA really delivered—especially on a budget! The lamp is made from hard plastic, which looks a bit too stark white during the day, but in the evening it gives off a lovely warm glow with the standard E12 bulb they recommend. That said, it’s a bit too bright for my bedroom, so I’ll be looking into a dimmable or warmer-toned bulb instead.
Cute small lampMatthewRelatively easy to put together! Just don't forget to buy the special light bulbs that go with is -- we forgot, and although we can find socket equivalents, the bulb itself needs to be a small roumd.
