KIVIK 1-seat sofa-bed is a snug and easy-to-place sofa during the day – and simple to make into a comfortable bed at night.

The sofa-bed has a compact design that allows you to fit both an extra seat and overnight guests in a small area.

The seat cushions made of pocket springs, high-resilience foam and polyester fibre mould to your body and provide firm support and comfortable softness, both when sitting up and lying down.

The seat and back cushions are used to create the bed, which means they are out of the way when the sofa is transformed into a sleeping space.

KIVIK 1-seat sofa-bed has a distinct design language and a silhouette like the sofas in the series, while the design without armrests gives it its own strong personality.

Pocket springs are a durable solution that makes the sofa retain both its shape and comfort for many years.

This cover is made from Kelinge fabric in soft polyester. The wide-wale corduroy is thick, comfortable and soft to the touch, with a slight lustre that gives it a nice and cozy look.

The cover is easy to keep clean since it can be machine washed and is easy to take off and put on again.

According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.This cover’s ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 50,000 cycles. 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture used every day at home. Over 30,000 cycles means a good ability to resist abrasion.This seating furniture is tested and complies with relevant strength and durability standards. The tests simulate typical usage of the product and are based on use by persons weighing up to 110 kg.

Smart Extra Bed SolutionMarnieThe Kivik chair is a smart solution for a single overnight guest. The frame is easy to pull out and the seat cushion unfolds to make the mattress. It’s comfortable for 1-2 nights and when functioning as a chair makes a very comfy seat. I like the wide cushion because I can sit cross-legged comfortably.5

Poor product ... Do not buy!DonaldA poorly designed and constructed product. We had no trouble with the cushions, but the pull-out simply does not pull out all the way, so the bed is completely useless. It appears that the wheels have come out of their track and there doesn't seem to be any way to fix the problem. We have purchased many Ikea products over the years and this is by far the worst one. Frustrating in the extreme! My advice is not to buy it! 1

Good But Not GreatJaquelynIn chair form is very comfortable, but in bed form its not quite padded enough. Feels a little over priced for what it is given that Ikea has whole pull out couches for less, but it works for my small space.4
Perfect guest bed for small spaceDerekI purchased this single sofa bed for use as a chair in my home office and a guest bed for occasional overnight visitors. It was very easy to put together. Basically the main chair was already assembled right out of the box all I had to do was add the fabric covers . Each piece of fabric is lined with seriously strong velcro strips. These attached to the velcro strips along the side of the chair. Tip - read the instructions to follow step by step the correct positioning of the fabric . The cushions are tight - but they are meant to be. I you need to push the foam down with one hand while closing the strong zippers with the other ( think zipping closed a very tight suitcase) The foam will bounce back into the corners once completely zipped. Take your time - don’t panic. They will fit . My fabric looked wrinkled - but after putting onto the chair the wrinkles disappeared. This clever sofa chair works like a futon bed but smaller and sideways. Perfect for the occasional sleepover.5

Once it is extended however I have no complaints. the cushions are the right plush and give. It's firm and supportive in the extended position. Definitely recommend this product.5
Great and EasyRhondaAfter reading reviews we were concerned about the cushion covers fitting easily. We purchased the torquoise/grey cordoruy cover and found that fitting it to the chair was simple. The fit is snug, so the material looks great over the cushions (no creases, no sagging). The chair is super comfortable. The firmness and size are both excellent. The chair came pre-assembled, so that only adding cushion covers was required. The torquoise cover is soft, comortable, and we love the added colour to our room.4
