Save yourself, pick something elsePaulNightmare to try to assemble. I gave up halfway through, will be returning it as is. Ugh.
Great ValueDarrenEasy to put together. Even though the instructions say you need two people, I did it by myself with no problems. Just make sure you have a large enough space to put it together.
Poor assembly instructionsTomI've assembled manny Ikea products over the years and have always been impressed with the quality of instructions and ease of assembly, however this 5-drawer chest was the worst. It took at least 30 to 45 minutes to figure out which leg went where. A simple sticker on each leg would have made the process so much simpler. The good news is that I finally figured it out and the chest is a very nice addition to our daughter's bedroom. If you struggle with assembling Ikea products you may want to skip this one.
Horrible DresserKristenI would give this dresser a zero if I could. First, it took over 2 hours following to build it because the directions were complicated and sometimes the pictures were hard to see. When we finally got it put together, there was a big gap between the top and the first drawer that is not there in the picture. The dowel holes for that piece made it impossible to move the front piece in any other way in order to fix that issue. All of the drawers did not fit in properly and if they did go in, they were not flush with the front of the dresser. Drawers did not want to slide in and out nicely when they did go in. The quality of this dresser is just horrible. I am so frustrated by this dresser that I am considering taking a sledgehammer to it but will more likely put a free sign on it and leave it at the curb than attempt to take it apart to return it. Save yourself the time and headache!
Nice piece Poor systemKatherineI was looking to downsize so I'm very happy with the size and the style. I'm not happy with the new lock system in place making it mandatory to bolt it to the wall. I love that they include the kits to secure a piece and understand the necessity but usually theres room to have a choice. My children are grown and theres no danger of it being climbed on and/or falling over so I choose not to. I move my furniture regularly and do not want multiple holes all over my walls. I got fed up and tried to bolt it anyway but the size of my baseboards leaves such a large gap between dresser and wall its quite an issue to bolt it and even the kit provided does not bridge the gap. I've been trying for two days to remove the lock system to no avail. Really unfortunate.
Great dresser, not so great instructionsCaitlinOne of the more complicated IKEA pieces I've ever put together. I think having the pieces labelled would have made the set-up a lot easier - too many look very similar which meant I was taking things apart and rebuilding them once I realized that I had used the wrong part. Other than that it's a cute dresser that works perfectly for mudroom/porch storage!
Cute but tough to buildWendyI've built many, many IKEA products over the yrs ( including 3 entire kitchens ) but this takes the cake for level of difficulty & confusing directions.
It just needs better directions & some labelling on pieces as there are so many similar looking ones !
Like I said ... confusing !
OkMelissaAssembly was okay. But when I added all the draws in the smaller ones have a bigger gap between each other when closed. It looks odd since there’s no even spacing compared to the bigger draws. Not sure how to fix it.
Gorgeous but smallTaraIts gorgeous but it has smaller storing space that i used to taught
Looks greatValeriaI bought this dresser for my nursery. The quality is not the best like everything IKEA that is on the cheaper side but it looks fantastic. Took me 4 hours to build. I was very slow and took my time but instructions are very clear. If you want to change the knobs you can give it a totally different look. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.
Solid and very prettyDjIt is not easy to build so you have to take your time and do not rush the build. You need 2ppl to build this. The end result is worth it and it works perfectly in a smaller bedroom.
Cheap plastic hardwareAnonymous reviewerI’ve been a loyal customer for many years and usually enjoy putting ikea furniture together. Some things I’ve noticed. The hardware has been changed to cheap plastic pieces that easily break. And this dresser was surprisingly small. We went for the long trip to ikea with another dresser in mind and this was all they had available! Might work as a dresser in a spare room but not for actual use on its own. Also, the picture diagrams did not explain the safety feature of this dresser very well at all. We had to google and search around for how it worked. Disappointed is an understatement.
Very stylishMerveIt's quite stylish, but the drawers are smaller than I expected, they are more minimal. I barely filled the contents of the 3-drawer dresser 😏

Wall-anchoring – for peace of mind
Safety is fundamental when we develop our products. But no one can predict all different scenarios – like a pulled-out drawer being used as support to stand up or kids building a blanket fort. And accidents often happen when you least expect it. So, the best way to reduce the risk of tip-over accidents is to anchor your product to the wall.
