Did not line upAnne MarieMy husband has put many Ikea items together including many of the Expedit/Kallax. This one was nothing but a disappointment. One side the dowels would not go all the way in and so we have a noticeable gap that we cannot hide. This was going to be a focal point in our brand new home and now it is something to camouflage :(
👍👍DianeGreat, practical, affordable shelf solution although the add on doors, shelves, baskets, etc could set you back a few dollars. (IKEA should offer an incentive for people to participate in these surveys. Even 5!or 10 reward points might make a difference)

Great storage unitGoldieI was a little disappointed that the surface wasn't the smooth shiny gloss that was in the 4x4 unit that I had purchased a couple years ago. Instead it felt like any other cheap wooden unit from any other store. It was purchased online and unseen in person. I may not have purchased it if I had known the surface wasn't the same as they were for the same room. One is nice and shiny, the new one is just nice.

not greatJeremiahneeded to use a drill to get the some of the screws to screw down, and needed to sand down some of the wood pins to get the pieces not to have gaps between them. I get that it is IKEA quality and price, but I still should be able to build it the way IKEA intended without resorting to power tools.

Great for storing board gamesMattI have a ton of games - board games, miniatures games, and role playing games. These shelves are amazing for storing them all. Plus you can customize the shelves with various inserts. Great stuff! I will pour one out for the trees who died to bring me these shelves.
KallaxChrisFor the most part we are pleased with our purchase. We had delivered to a collection centre. Noticed foot prints on one of the boxes. Some minor damage to a side panel fortunately it was not very noticeable and easy to hide.
