Yummy cookiesAnneGreat to dunk with a glass of milk before bed.5
Tasty tea-time treats!SheelaThese little cookies are delicious... just the right size to have a couple with a cuppa tea in the midafternoon to keep you happy until dinnertime. Not too sweet, not too rich-tasting, but not cardboard-like (as many oat cookies seem). Pricing is right for what tastes like a higher end grocery store cookie. This will be a standing item on our IKEA list!5
Great cookiesJacquelineI get these cookies every time I shop at IKEA, which is twice a year. These are very tasty to eat alone or do as I do, use them for dipping in a hot drink…so good. 5
Prefer the cookies coming in a tin but these will do.HollyWhy can't we see if the food products are in stock at the store. We have to drive into town to find out the cookies are sold out... they are really good cookies.5

Cookie 🍪 KevinNot the greatest and not the worst. You need to eat the entire cookies the same day because it will go soft from the hole in the front box.2

YummyTracyThese are a yummy treat.4
These biscuits are good, but...Norman Robert ToddThese biscuits taste great and are good value. I must say though, that since Ikea opened this locaton at Scarborough Town Centre, the food market has been rather disappointing. I usually buy the chocolate biscuits but you have been out of inventory on those for months now. You have never had the gravy sauce to go with your meatballs even though you advertised a special price if you bought all the ingredients - so I bought everything you had (meatballs, potato, lingon berry) and got no discount. I buy many of your food products because they are delicious and a good value. Also, a bicycle rack would be welcome so we can lock up our bicycles when we ride to your store.5
CookiesKarenLight and crunchy cookies.5
Harder than expectedAnnaI was curious how these would taste so picked up a box to try. Can't say I will repurchase for the price and quality/taste when there are other options out there.4
Tasty but still a little sweet Hiu YanIf the sugar content can be down by 5-10% this will be perfect. 4

I was basically looking for my favourite cookie which was out of stock so I tried this one. The title was fine. BobbieThe cookies were tasty enough but would have like more almonds. Nice size, good for dunking in tea. 4

Sharing a Swedish tradition with the world

Have you ever had a cup of coffee and a sweet treat to go with it? Then, unknowingly, you’ve experienced one of Sweden’s most beloved traditions – fika. It's no exaggeration to say everyone in Sweden has fika. But as people get busier and busier, homemade fika is no longer the norm. Between work and family and hobbies, there's a need for an easier option. This is where the KAFFEREP series comes in.

KAFFEREP offers biscuits, pastries and treats inspired by our love for fika and everything it stands for. You'll find traditional favorites like oat biscuits and ginger thins. We're stocking our Swedish Food Market with everything you need for fika, so it's easy for anyone to share in our treasured tradition.

Fika in a modern world

Jenny Odenmo is one of the IKEA co-workers who helped introduce KAFFEREP. She enjoys fika moments with co-workers at the office and with friends or neighbors who stop by. But Jenny has a busy life and there's not a lot of time to spare. "My kids like to bake. I like to bake, but I wouldn't say we bake every week. It’s just not possible. We don't have the time. So I always have a fika back-up in the cupboards," says Jenny. "We're a modern family and we need the convenience." Jenny's cupboard back-ups are, in fact, some of her favorites to eat. The KAFFEREP oat biscuits with chocolate have a particularly hard time lasting very long in her home. "They have this amazing dark chocolate in between crispy biscuits. I open a pack and they disappear."

Sharing the love for fika

Now that IKEA offers both great coffee and tasty treats, fika is more accessible. "The KAFFEREP offer is quite wide," says Jenny. "We have a good mix in place. It's all you need really, to have a good fika moment."

Seven is a magic number

From kafferep to fika – the Swedish tradition of gathering at home to socialize, drink coffee and eat cookies has a long history. The custom came about during the 19th century and meant that the host was expected to serve exactly seven types of cookies to their guests. Fewer were considered stingy and more was seen as over the top, while seven was the perfect balance. At IKEA, we love this way of enjoying a special moment with others, no matter how many cookies are served.
