They took pictures and bombarded the homeowners with storage-related questions. “We got to see the hard truth, and it wasn’t always pretty,” smiles Paul. “Many have closets with just a shelf and a rail underneath. Missing Instruction StepLauraI am putting together my own combination. I put together the frame first as that was what was indicated. Nowhere in the instructions did it say that if you are building your own combination with shelves that you need to put the shelves in before hammering in the frame. I tried to put them in after the fact but they do not fit no matter what I try. I have put together a lot of Ikea furniture and sometimes the images are initially unclear or confusing, but never have I seen a step entirely left out.
