love herCarolineI bought this for the purpose of having a multipurpose shelf, storing books in the front, and materials in the back, while wanting to keep light moving through the room. It works perfectly as I intended! I deliberated for a long time which exact shelf from Ikea to buy before choosing this one. It is not intended as a bookshelf per say but it works as one, with the additional depth working as semi visible storage. I had no problems assembling it, I found the instructions clear and the correct materials provided. I admit I literally build things for a living so perhaps I am dissimilar to other reviewers. Building it I also realized it is the same type as an ancient shelf I'd modified at my old university. I know these things last a dang long while!5
