Read My Detailed Review!NickiI saw the 3-star rating of this product, but I got it anyways so here's what I think... Firstly, the shelf is very large and serves its purpose perfectly. Note that the IVAR system is modular and you buy the pieces separately as you wish. It's only that the preset combinations help you to know what parts you need exactly. For this specific combination that is very big, I got extra OBSERVATOR cross-braces, as IKEA only recommends 1. I actually bought 4 cross-braces in total and started at one bottom corner, then did a zig-zag pattern of cross-braces to the top. At MINIMUM, I recommend 2. 3 feels pretty stable, and 4 if you are putting heavy stuff near the top. Properly install wall-mounting brackets and it is STABLE. This was not difficult to assemble for 2 people who are relatively comfortable using tools. I took 1 star off for some imperfections in the cut of the wood. The longest ones come packaged in pairs and you can't see to choose the best ones. One pair I got was cut crooked.4
Why don't use screws???YuliaI'm using IKEA products a lot, and never had problem to assemble it. This one is a nightmare!!! It looks simple, but it needs a lot of strength, 2 people and good mallet! And apologies to your neighbours, it'll take a couple hours of extreme noise! Why not screws??? Almost injured my fingers!1
