With HYLTARP sofa-bed you can easily convert your living room into a bedroom or guestroom, and back again after a good night's sleep.

Skillful craftsmanship and a perfect fit means that the HYLTARP sofa-bed will always shows off its best side.

You get a supportive and steady surface to sleep on since the mattress comes as a single piece.

Reversible back cushions provide soft support for your back and two different sides to wear. Thanks to the combination of polyester fibres and foam the cushions will retain their shape and comfort year after year.

The sofa has a soft comfort with high-resilience foam and pocket springs that follow your body and provide support – whether you are sitting, lying down or hanging out on the sofa.

This cover is made of Gransel, a fabric with elements of linen and viscose that add a slight lustre. The threads in different sizes create a natural, vibrant expression.

The cover is easy to keep clean since it is removable and can be machine washed.

A range of coordinated covers makes it easy for you to give your furniture a new look.

Good to know

Sometimes the mattress has a noticeable smell when you open the packaging. The smell isn’t harmful or toxic and disappears over time. Airing and vacuuming the mattress helps to eliminate the smell faster.

All of our mattresses can be used immediately, but keep in mind that a packaged mattress only regains its full shape and comfort after approximately 72 hours. Your body also needs a couple of weeks to adapt to the new mattress.

Hard cushionsTracyIf you decide to put this together without ikea assistance- you need to take everything out of the boxes to find the directions and nuts/ bolts. Would be awesome if the box with said stuff would be somehow indicated ( if it was, maybe I missed it) Also, directions depicted two men required for assembly. I can attest that it only takes 1 woman- took me 2 days to recover tho🤣 Cushions are super hard but I'm hoping they'll soften up with use. Have yet to try it in sleep mode-mattress seems decent tho4
Positive update to earlier review - good news!NoelleI think it only fair to update my earlier negative review of the Hyltarp sofabed. I discovered that when you're putting the slipcover on the seat cushion, make sure that the zipper for BOTH the inner cushion cover and the outer slipcover align at the BACK of the cushion - this way you'll ensure that the cushion is placed on the sofa in the correct position, allowing the seat cushion to slope back gently towards the back of the sofa. (The instructions don't appear to make this clear). Doing this has made a signifcant difference in the comfort of the sofa; previously, as the seat cushion was sloping gently down towards the FRONT of the sofa, you felt as though you were constantly having to adjust and shift your seating position to stay seated back on the sofa. By making this adjustment, you automatically "sink" more easily into the back of the sofa, and your legs feel much better supported. I'd say it's still somewhat on the firm side, but FAR more comfortable. Hope this helps! 5
Love the look and the dual purpose but...NoelleJust had the Hyltarp sofa bed delivered, and the seat cushion is FAR more firm than the sample we tried in the store. We're hopeful that in time it will soften somewhat, as we're using this as our primary sofa. I don't mind a firm sofa but this is bordering on being downright hard, unfortunately. I also tried to "fluff" up the back cushion inserts before putting the slip covers on them, and the papery material they're made of ripped very easily just from my grip, allowing a spot for the polyester filling to spill out. Having just swapped this sofa for a very comfortable 15-year-old (perhaps older) Ektorp, that probably still had some life left in it , this is rather disappointing. Otherwise, it was relatively easy to assemble; and the quality of the frame seems good and sturdy. I love the look of the sofa and the ability to use it as a guest bed occasionally - but for everyday comfort as a sofa I can't give it full marks (yet) unfortunately. 4
