We recommend a TV bench to be a bit wider than the TV placed on it. This TV bench suits a TV up to 58 inches. You can choose a larger TV if it’s not heavier than the specified max load for the bench’s top.
The top panel of the TV bench is intended for a TV with a maximum weight of 25 kg.

Poor qualityStephanieScratches very easily, in fact the top of the unit came with scratches. The drawers don't line up properly. We have assembled countless IKEA products. Most of my furniture is from IKEA which has been purchased over the years. This product does not match the quality I would expect from IKEA. I'm wondering if it's declining recently.
Quality Control IssuesKathrynThe TV bench is a nice design, however I ran into multiple problems building it. One of the holes for the dowels was too small so the wood split while putting it in. I glued it together and fortunately it wasn't a piece at the front so you can't see now that it's built. I figured it IKEA, so that's the way it does sometimes. Sadly once it was built the middle compartment was slightly too small to get the self into requiring partial disassembly to get it into place. The drawer in the middle compartment also sits notice;y lower than the other two. Unsurprisingly the finish got damaged trying to wedge the middle shelf in, so I'm going to have a touch up paint from somewhere. There are also various black marks and dents in the finish. Over all I think IKEA needs to pay more attention to quality control since the design itself is quite nice. I built the smaller version of this recently for someone else and it went together really well.
AttractiveMargaretThis tv stand is attractive and I like the shelf and the three drawers. I took one star off because one of the drawers had a scratch on it. It’s not a big deal because of the black colour it’s not noticeable from a distance. However I think a business should do thorough quality control on merchandise they’re shipping to a customer.
Disappointing ColourUsamahOrdered a black/brown set with the shelves. The stand is practically black. The shelves are the promised black/brown. The difference is noticeable.
Good but...RonaldOverall, a good tv cabinet but not sufficiently solid for weight. I have a standard 50" tv that can easily be lifted with two hands, yet the deflection at the centre is about a full centimetre lower. Would be better if the unit had a central leg to support the weight.
Inadequate base supportCarolPurchased the item 10 months ago placed our tv on top and now have noticed that the unit is bowing in the middle. The 2 drawer unit has support legs underneath but the 3 drawer unit does not
Only solution is to have a support base added to our unit and try to color match

Don’t have a vehicle large enough to take unit back assembled. Cost me $$ to have someone assemble I want to attach photos but can’t
Sturdy, good storageLoriBought for 55" TV. We were not disappointed! This unit is sturdy, a good height and has a good amount of storage, which is a bonus in a small space.
Great TV StandPeterI really like this unit but have two comments. The system for holding the piece of backboard on with the clips and screws is not great. If there were pre-drilled holes it would be less nerve racking attaching them. Second is to be aware that the top shelves with the open back are not very high and my surround sound amplifier would not fit it. I had to do some Mcgyver'ing to get it in by removing the shelf, holding the unit up in the area and then get the shelf back in underneath held up with screws. But generally very happy.

Damaged piecesKimberlyWhen I got home to assemble the product there was missing pieces, damaged pieces, and pieces where there were supposed to be holes for screws but there were no holes…. I chatted with customer service and was advised to go to the store and bring the damaged pieces with me. Now I have to drive 45 mins back to deal with something I wasn’t supposed to deal with in the first place. This tends to happen to Hemnes pieces as I own a couple others. Anyways…. Good looking TV bench, giving it 1 star.

Very nice tv benchArvinThe natural wood top finish looks very good on white body finish. Easy to assemble. Sturdy but probably needs a bit more support in the middle underneath. A bit pricy though. Overall, good quality product.
