BeautifulSheriEasy to assemble and looks great! Not to large where it sticks out to far from the wall. I love the Hemnes line5
doors not constructed great - no support at bottomASHLEY M.the doors came as preassembled - 4 pieces around a mirror. but 6 months after installing the dowels in the doors started to pull apart and the whole door started to sink. now when we open it, the pieces really pull apart and the mirror could come out. I've had to remove one door to try to fix it, but right after the other door started to pull apart as well. not sure if I got a defective set. I'm going to try to glue the doors together again....but I would recommend a smaller cabinet or one with some that that the door rests on so there's support for the doors....it looks beautiful, but it's a pain to have to take it apart and try to fix...1
LikedDERYAIt looked nice and cozy in my bathroom.5
Great productJIMPerfect combination of mirrors , cabinet space and shelves for those cute niknaks!5
Tons of storage space and it looks so niceLaura3731I bought two of these for a home renovation and if If I had three bathrooms I probably would have bought another. I love how the doors can open sooo wide, just make sure you buy the right hinges. It was pretty easy putting them together too.5
LhisI also have one at my other house, and love it!5
Love my medicine cabinethtsvI put this together myself.... hubby had to hang it though. Love the look and storage is ample.5
Can’t see yourself in the mirror 2Mark1219As mentioned in review with same title, wish I paid a little more attention. The bottom shelf seems like a good idea, but it raises up the mirrors so high as to be impractical. If you want to take a shave, you want cabinet high enough for clearance for your head, since it is not designed to be recessed, it must be installed higher. After some thought I decided to lower the mirrored doors to the bottom, much better! Shelf at top for display purpose. Also, hinges are not great, especially compared to kitchen hinges.2
Can’t see yourself in the mirrorJPalmerI purchased the single door version of this and love the storage and style. But we found that when we installed it to allow for clearance of the faucet lever, we could barely see ourselves in the mirror! And I am not even short! My contractor had to cut off the bottom open shelving and reinstall the cabinet base. IKEA please redesign this item to address this issue. Even in your online photo, one can clearly see that it is way above most peoples’ line of sight.4
Awesome storage for bathroomCsicsi1We have bought this cabinet almost a month ago - it really gives a lot of variety regarding storage. Fits to our bathroom perfectly, stylish and elegant.5

Easy updated look!Mom to 3I bought this to revamp my sink area in my master suite. It has a LOT of storage and help keep the bathroom clutter contained. I like that there are different sizes offered! I will likely want to use this for the next bathroom remodel.4
lots of storagemintyhondaWe are renovating our bathroom and have purchased this piece. It is built and will be installed very soon, it is huge and can't wait to fill it. Very nice and solid, great water resistant finish! Because it has the shelf on the bottom, it has to be mounted closer to the sink so we can see ourselves in the mirrors, we had to go with a lower profile tap for the sinks.5
Buyer05Large closet. Holds everything. Dual top and bottom shelf would be helpful as opposed to having to choose4
Hemnes Mirror CabinetJutta March 2018good quality, has mirrors out and inside of the cabinet.4

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA we believe that sourced in a responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What is fibreboard?

Fibreboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are – and this determines what we use them for. So regardless if it’s a bed, a wardrobe or your new bathroom cabinet, the leftover wooden fibre becomes a resource instead of going to waste.
