Keep in mind that you need enough space between the top of the furniture and the ceiling to be able to anchor the product to the wall.
Tempered glass is 4-5 times stronger and more resistant to breaking than regular glass. If it breaks, it shatters into many granular pieces to reduce the risk of injury.

Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Use only water or window-cleaner.

Handle with care! A damaged edge or scratched surface can cause the glass to suddenly crack or break. Poor quality and even worse customer serviceSusanWe live in a rural area so the nearest Ikea is 3 hours away (one way.) Got the item home, attempted to put it together however, the front panel on one of the drawers was too short so it didn't have any over hang and didn't cover the opening. Overall the product is very cheaply constructed and definitely not worth $599.00
We also bought a tv stand that did not include the 3 back drawer panels. Hubby was able to use the extra side panels they sent and make them into back panels. Went to slide the drawers in only to find out they made the drawer pieces to wide for the sliders rendering the unit unusable.

Quality is missing!K ColleenI have always loved and purchased from the Hemnes Series but I am very disappointed in this piece. The stain needs touching up. It looks like someone tried to repair the front and it is noticeable. I don’t have a truck so I can’t return it, else I would. Ikea should provide touch-up kits where the Parts can be ordered online. Now I have to take a drawer to the paint shop to match $599 item!
Very poor quality CarringtonWas very disappointed to discover how flimsy the design and final product was. I couldn’t feel confident displaying my china within this unit so I will need to replace. Super disappointed.
Flimsy, poorly finished, overpricedAndrewVisible missing paint. Several misaligned holes for assembly which I ended up expanding with a rasp. Visible joins and bubbles in the veneer. Poorly machined knobs with seams. Came lightly scratched on one panel. Probably the flimsiest thing I've ever bought from IKEA. Before you screw it into your wall opening the doors makes the whole thing shake like jello.

Disappointed SandraI love HEMNES but not this one. Putting together wasn’t hard until I got to the glass doors. Instructions are poor and kinda useless. YouTube to the rescue and after LOTS of effort finally figured it out. Once put together it just feels flimsy and unstable. Drawers don’t seem to line up properly and glass doors too forever to line up so they would close properly. For the price paid I would have expected to be better quality.
Worst IKEA purchase and experience of my lifeKristinFinally think I’m finished only to see gaps near the drawers so they do not glide nicely. Everything I tightened some how magically loosened when it game time to put the drawers in. After you fight with the glass doors, gaps , so drawers are terrible and it’s impossible to put down on the floor at that point. Most expensive item I’ve purchased and this item is the least satisfactory purchase made.
After purchase the wood began to crack for no reason and the paint started to bubble not to mention and I am still waiting for a return call frLuisaAfter this experience I will

Only thing to beware of is not to overload the drawers as I’m not sure how much weight they can hold. I wasn’t going to try putting it together by myself so we paid for TaskRabbit to do it. The drawers are loose and cheap feeling, one of the doors is slightly bowed so they don't line up nicely, and some of the holes for the shelves do not line up just right so the shelf wobbles. On the upside they look really beautiful. Just very disappointed that Ikea is putting out such a poor quality cabinet.
