This floor uplighter/reading lamp gives you a pleasant light upwards and out around an entire room – and directed light for reading. Both are easy to turn on and off with the switch at the lampshade’s top.

Great Choice For Lighting Up a Bedroom and Reading In BedLorinFor years I had been using a lamp clipped on the night stand in the bedroom with a large twist on-off switch. Over time, it became difficult to turn the lamp on and off. I decided it’s time to replace the lamp. Go to a lighting store? No, way too expensive. A dollar stare? No, way too cheap. Ah, Ikea! More likely to find one that’s a good value. So my wife and I go into the lighting section in Ikea, and we aren’t like the clip-ons. But wait. My wife (who is the smartest person I know) sees a floor lamp with two lights that looks pretty good and only $35. They call it Hektogram. It’s an all metal floor lighter and reading lamp with easy push button on/off switches. Why not give it a try? The worst that could happen is it doesn’t fit and we return it. We got it home and unpacked it and had to move one of the night stands and we got it to fit just perfectly. The floor lighter does a good job of lighting up the whole room, while the reading lamp is completely adjustable to any angle and turn. Great design. Kudos to my wife for suggesting the Hektogram.5
