PerfectRUTH H.This lamp is the perfect fit to my bedroom. It fits easily onto my IKEA bed frame. I really like the look of this lamp.5
simple clean look for theLemon P.simple clean look for the most part.4
Looks great but two have brokenOther1These look great but the price is a little too low as the two bought for my boys’ bunkbeds are both inoperable in two years. I don’t think it’s sustainable to toss lamps every two years. Quality really going downhill Ikea. $40 and holes in the wall is pretty expensive for garbage. Now I need to find them other lamps as I won’t buy these again.1
Perfect bedroom lightingLittle two storey houseNeeded wall lamps to be placed above the headboard of our daughter’s bed. Perfect for accent lighting and reading in bed.5
Greeat little reading lampJoMo_VancouverBought for child's room. A perfect little reading lamp - Light is not intense, nor does it illuminate the entire room. love how their are two options for securing it, either to the wall or on a shelf. Tried both, and both ways work well. Remember to also buy bulb!5
SG1971I really like the look of the lamp but I would suggest providing wall screws with it4
Typical ikea installationKerrie SmithNo wall screws included. Unless need to bolt wall plate to the lamp. Could it not have come affixed or at minimum instead of the super small screws for which it was fortunate that I had a screwdriver small enough, larger screws. The nobbs that adjust the light direction could only be loosed with a wrench which damaged the paint. I bought this to replace my kramare lamp which was a much easier install by far and had given up the ghost after years of modest use. It is worth what I paid for it.3
Perfect as bedside lampsA and JWe were a bit nervous buying these in the As Is section. A salesperson helped us check them out, plugging them in and checking them for all their parts. They look great mounted on the wall on either side of our bed. The only downside is how right they are; we are still hunting for a light bulb to fit them that isn't quite so bright.5
Perfect lightDebbie1953I purchased this light for my grandson who just turned 7 and loves to read before bed. It attached easily to his ikea bunk bed5

Designer thoughts

Designer thoughts

“When I designed HEKTAR spotlight I was so inspired by the look that I designed a few more lamps. I was inspired by old factories and wanted to bring that feeling into the home. The large lamp shades in metal are contrasted by a glossy cream-colored lining inside. This, together with the large details, is what creates the industrial feeling. Thanks to the large shades and light lining HEKTAR gives very good light, and a lot of it.”

Material

What is aluminium?

After iron, aluminium is the world's most used metal and has a very wide range of uses. It’s easy to shape and lightweight, but is still strong and durable. In our range we use it for things like kitchen utensils, curtain rods and tealight cups. A big advantage with aluminium is that it can be recycled again and again without losing its quality. Recycling consumes only a fraction of the energy required to produce aluminium from new raw materials.
