Hard to assemble for a team of 1. Needs a wrench MeghanThis lamp was difficult to assemble for 1 person. The threads weren’t lining up straight in the bar sections, but after a few attempts it screwed in. The base was exceptionally hard to tighten and you need a wrench to be able to do it. The lamp is required to be facing over the base, but with tightening the bolt on the bottom it kept rotating. Overall was a bit of a frustrating 45 mins for a couple steps. The lamp is beautiful and the shade is big enough to cast soft light across the room, which is exactly what I wanted. The listing says dark grey, but the images look almost black. The lamp itself is lighter than the images. Still nice, but would have preferred it closer to black. 4

Upon double checking I realized that it's listed as "dark grey" but in all honesty the pictures are a bit deceiving and thought it would be black. As an additional note, it would be great for the lamp to have a dimmer. 4

What is aluminium?

“When I designed HEKTAR spotlight I was so inspired by the look that I designed a few more lamps. I was inspired by old factories and wanted to bring that feeling into the home. The large lamp shades in metal are contrasted by a glossy cream-colored lining inside. This, together with the large details, is what creates the industrial feeling. Thanks to the large shades and light lining HEKTAR gives very good light, and a lot of it."
