Hattefjall chairDianneThis chair is great! It’s comfortable and easy to adjust .5
Nice but...CorrinneNice chair but sadly not comfortable for long term use...very sturdy and well made and very good looking, good chair if you need to sit at your desk for half hour, but not for an "all-day- use" chair. 3
Really worth the priceJjThe back adjusts without a bolt, using a ratchet system but it can shift when you push the chair around.
I usually hate arms on chairs but these adjust forward/backward and up/down so I’m glad to have them.
The seat slides forward and backward so if you like to tuck your legs under, you can put seat further back or if you like flat fleet on floor slide it a bit forward. The seat slide also adjusts your position on the back lumbar support (which further is adjusted by back height.)
Assembly is pretty simple (arm rest holes are hard to find if you don’t realize the holes are hidden in the vertical side seam.)
The legs and mount are metal unlike some of the cheaper chairs. (Not so say those chairs are not strong enough)
Only negative, it does not roll on our berber carpet probably because of the thick under pad.
There is enough padding in the seat to be comfortable for longer duration and the sides curve up for support.
It is a good price given the convenience, comfort and quality.

GREAT CHAIRHeleneThis chair was more expensive but so worth it. Good quality. The seat is not too deep like most office chairs. It has so many adjustments and very comfy. AND it looks amazing!5
Most comfortableDianeI’ve had this chair for 14 months now and I’m very happy with it. It’s the most comfortable work/desk chair I can remember having. For me, the critical feature is seat depth. On this chair it’s adjustable (as are all the parts) so I can truly get the lower back/lumbar support I need and sit up straight comfortably. Other chairs don’t have that adjustability, and the seat is too deep/too far back so one ends up slouching forward without noticing (which leads to upper back and neck pain). So it was definitely worth the extra cost for a good chair. Also, the removable seat cover is an unexpected plus. I clumsily spilt coffee on the seat and was able to take it off, wipe down the under-foam and wash it rather than being limited to cleaning only the surface. (Washed it immediately in cold water, and once it dried it had retained its shape and looked as good as new when I put it back on.) Lastly, I got the pale green with white armrests and base and those still look clean and white. 5

Good value for money, but not a perfect chairAnonymous reviewerFor context, I am an OT and have done hundreds of ergonomics assessments, so I have some knowledge of ergonomics.
Pros:
- It has all the adjustment controls most average-sized people would need to have it fit more or less properly.
- The shape of the backrest is sensible and conforms well to my back.
- Price is reasonable
Cons:
- poorly designed upswooping sides of the seat impede sitting with legs spread a little farther apart. I feel pressure on the sides of my legs a lot of the time. Very annoying, and totally unnecessary as it serves no functional purpose and just gets in the way
- Backrest angle adjustment is in large increments. It would be much better to have infinite angle adjustment, or at least smaller increments. My ideal angle is in between two options, so I have to leave it unlocked and lean back constantly to get the right angle. Also very annoying.
- The seat is hard and uncomfortable3
Great Chair!KateThe chair is comfortable and moves nicely on the casters! We have hardwood floors and the wheels are made of a material that does not mark our hardwoods. I would purchase this chair again.4
Neat style not worth the terrible seat designMarkI am a young fit person who works at their desk all day. I have been using the FLINTAN chair for 4 years now without problem. I recently moved my desk downstairs and started to use this chair and within 1 week my back and legs are not happy (exact same set up, just different chairs). Why? Simple...the FLINTAN chair is a flat seat and the HATTEFJALL seat is, well, a disaster. it is curved upward so that you cannot evenly balance your torso without leaning forward (bad for your neck) or leaning backward into the lumbar support (bad for your back)....save your money and your body and look elsewhere.1

I Love this chair!LorraineIt was so easy to assemble and it’s comfortable to sit on for hours.5
My new comfort zone FahimIt’s pretty comfortable yet adorable office chair. I love the sitting and back support. You can adjust the sitting position in many different ways. 5
Not worth the money StephanieAt $300 this chair should tick all the boxes. But it isn’t comfortable, the arms don’t stay in place, the seat doesn’t move forward enough, and the height cannot be adjusted. Have returned, thankfully for full refund. 1
Nice study chair for kidsQueenieWe had this chair for my elder daughter couple years ago and now bought it again for my younger one. It is comfortable and looks nice. It goes well with the white table. Installation is easy. We love it!5
Great comfort at good price pointIsabelleI love this! I use it everyday at work and the comfort is there. Considering buying one for home.5
PrettyMelisaIt's very comfortable as our office desk chair.5
Elegant and comfortable!IrinaGreat chair, haven't found any flaws! Looks great in the interior, has many shades, and at the same time is very comfortable.5
GREAT UNI CHAIRJenniferThis chair is very comfortable to sit for many hours on. I love it for studying and it looks aesthetically pleasing as well. The price is a bit steep but definitely worth the money. I even got my partner to get one himself and he was not impressed at first by the price tag at first. But he sat on it in store and fell in love. He's loving his for his office job and studying!! We are big big fans.5
Seat cushion flattened after a few monthsLyndsayThe cushion of this chair has flattened almost completely after 9 months of use (actually it started to flatten much earlier on). I don't even sit in it all day every day, so I couldn't imagine this as a full use office chair. The warranty will not help out with this issue, which is disappointing because the idea of a 10-year warranty gave me peace of mind. Thought for the price, that it would have lasted a bit longer.1
