Wrong instructionsSomaThe 1/2" strain relief does not fit the precut hole (on the hood, not the cabinet). The instruction also calls for 6" duct but the round damper is actually 7", so you need a reducer that takes a lot of space. IKEA, focus on creating value rather than cutting cost...2
It's fine, but not greatKarlThe lack of screens to hide the inside is too bad. If you buy Ikea cabinets, you're left needing an Ikea range hood to fit the depth. But there's only this or a $1000 option that is huge. Would be nice if there was a $300 version that fit and hid the inside for a cleaner look. This works, but it looks pretty cheap.3
Quality Control (lack of)BruceSeveral rivers on the top were poorly installed and prevented it from resting flat against upper cabinet. Rather than returning, I removed them and installed new rivets correctly. I suspect other units might have the same problem. 4
A couple of things I wish they would change. ElizabethI appreciate that the light and fan switch are on the top panel to give a cleaner look but for a short girl like me, I can barely reach it. It would also be helpful if the switches were labelled so that they could be seen from eye level. It is also quite square. The front comes straight out on the sides and blocks our cabinet door slightly from opening. We have added a small runner stop on the corner of the vent hood to avoid leaving a dent in the cupboard. We were fortunate enough to pick it up for $99 in the as is section. I don’t know that I would have paid full price for it. 4

Super cheap, not well designedEvanSuper cheap, not well designed Has rough metal edges on sides has a 7" vent exhaust with only a 160 cfm motor, can barely more any air even on max fan setting would NOT recommend1
Great value for moneyVictoriaWe replaced our 20-year-old under cabinet range hood with this one, and we’re beyond happy! It works great, has strong fan, looks amazing, and perfectly matches our new kitchen appliances. Highly recommend!5
Bad fanByronVery cheap, wiring only on the right side of the fan, came scratched, looks cheap. Overall pretty bad looking once out of the box, but it works fine.1
Range hoodMichelineI don’t like the look. Fan doesn’t seem that strong. You can see inside filter when you stand back into the eating area.1

Function solution

Sound levels

Sound levels for appliances are measured in decibels (dBs). Our extractor hoods have been tested in speed 3 to determine the dB level. The sound level of your extractor hood is affected by: • Type of installation. Exhaust-mode or recirculation-mode. • Length and diameter of the exhaust pipe between extractor and exhaust vent. The longer it is and the smaller the diameter, the louder it gets. • 90° bends. The more bends you have in the exhaust pipe, the greater the sound.

Quality

Sensitive to noise or have an open-plan home?

For extractor hoods, a noise level below 60 dB is considered low – roughly equivalent to a normal conversation between two people. We measure the noise level of our hoods at max speed, making it easier to compare different models. Note that sound levels decrease at lower speeds, and recirculating hoods are typically louder than those vented outdoors. Noise may also increase if the ducting is long or has several bends, as the air has to work harder to pass through the system.
