Extremely hard to assembleSueIn the end I know IKEA’s picture instructions work in any language but no so much in this case. Even after several very thorough re-reads there were several important things left out. I have been assembling IKEA products for decades an have never had such a hard time. Clearly no one from IKEA has tried to use these instructions. It was eventually figured out on my own with only one broken part. So how do I get that replaced now?
Déçue de la qualité et apparenceJoanneJ'aurais aimé mettre des photos pour montrer que le plateau du dessus a une rainure et le devant du petit tiroir en a deux. Donc le bois est fissuré. De plus, le tiroir du bas ne ferme pas correctement, il y a un jour à la base. J'ai pris soin d'essayer tous les ajustements inclus pour corriger, mais cela est impossible. Le service qualité n'a vraiment pas fait son travail parce que ces pièces, plateau du dessus et devant de tiroir, n'auraient jamais dû être vendues, mais mises au rebut. Très déçue, surtout pour le prix de 300$ ! Et je n'ai pas le courage de tout ramener, c'est lourd et je suis seule. Si j'achète autre chose de cette nature, j'ouvrirai les boîtes sur place pour vérifier la qualité moi-même puisque je ne peux pas me fier au service qualité d'ikea.
Compact filing cabinetMarioAlthough a bit pricey, the quality is excellent and fits our small office space to a tee. The locking mechanism is really unnecessary and does not work very well in spite of being very methodical in our assembly of the cabinet. Perhaps eliminate the locking feature on future models to bring the price down a bit and give more value for the money.

Nice piece of office furnitureMarkI was looking for a printer stand and decided this was the best option. It's very heavy and takes time to put together. The instructions are mostly clear, but this has a complex assembly so be careful in a few places to be sure how things should be oriented before putting them together. But it looks great and seems to function well, and it will hold a lot of things. We'll see how durable it is, but I've never had a problem with that with self-assembled furniture.
Lock doesn't workAnonymousThe construction of the unit is sturdy and the wheels and drawers run smoothly. My issues are the shallow height of the top drawer and the issue I'm having with the lock. The lock does not engage well to keep the bottom drawer secure which is the main reason I bought this unit. The top drawer locks only if I engage the lock and then pull open the bottom drawer. Appears to be an alignment issue (maybe install issue - need to investigate further).
Anonymousfits exactly under the desk i have (i did however spend a lot of time to measure and select this file cabinet). it is very solid and sturdy and the drawers pull out perfectly. it is however expensive though i expect i will have and use this piece for a long long time.

What is particleboard?
