Sink for outdoor kitchenAnneWe bought this sink which was indicated as a match for the GRILLSKÄR outdoor kitchen we also purchased. It was fairly easy to connect the sink to the unit and the drain and hose that came with the kitchen. This sink seems to be good quality for the price. Please note that we purchased the LILLVIKEN Sink strainer with stopper and the LILLVIKEN lid since we didn’t realize that there was a stopper/strainer included with the Grillskar kitchen unit. The LILLVIKEN items were returned since they were unnecessary.
Instructions are incorrect, BUT.. ToddI read the reviews prior to purchasing the item so I am one step ahead of others that did not read reviews to know of the measurement typo.. when getting my product in the pick up area, I laughed as the cardboard wrapping the top of the sink is a nearly perfect TEMPLATE of the opening that needs to be cut. This would help those that are measuring the upside down outer dimensions of the lip, and then measuring inwards 5/8ths inch to get the proper sized hole in the counter top. (The instructions advise to measure in 3/8ths inch and hole is too big). I hope this helps other DIY'ers that are not aware that the cardboard packaging is a near perfect template to use.
Instructions are Wrong!JeffThe instructions are wrong. You need to cut the hole smaller than they say or else the clips won't hold it down properly. Seems like a nice sink but we are now stuck not knowing how to proceed without replacing the whole countertop. It's too bad that Ikea is still selling this product with the wrong information. Especially because it can end up costing people multiple times the price of the sink in order to replace their countertop. Disappointed! Do better Ikea!
