Care

Wipe clean with a damp cloth.

Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

Rattan: If placed close to a radiator or other source of heat, the material can dry out and deteriorate.

Rattan is happiest in dry, cool environments with an even temperature.

Check regularly that all assembly fastenings/screws are properly tightened and retighten them when necessary.

Poorly designed shelfZoeCute but poorly designed. Hard to assemble because there was less care put into weaving the rattan over the frame. Rattan often overlaps with sections that need space in order to screw one section into another. The ends of the middle shelf are very uneven, making the screw holes impossible to line up. You have to force it to be able to assemble properly. It uses the short blunt screws that seem to be favoured by Ikea now, which don’t grab as well as a longer screw. I had to cut small sections of rattan away from the holes in order to assemble and my husband had to use brute force to screw it together. Over all a bad assembly experience for something that is such a simple design.2
A simple shelfRobertThis shelf is a bit large and it is made to hold small items that doesn't weigh much. Nails to mount onto the wall are not included.3

I love this shelf unit because it fits nicely with the decor in my bedrooms while adding a touch of elegance to the room. I now have a place to put those small photos and precious trinkets to show them off.
