The volatile chemical smell is horrific & won't go awayPhilipI bought this 2 weeks ago for my visiting guest. After setting it up and tried it for a few nights myself, I found the volatile chemical compound smells from from the foam base was horrific, it is so strong that woke me up a few times in the middle of the night. I let it aired for over a week and the smell still there. The smell also sticks to my clothes, beddings and everything. When I touched the foam mattress. can feel a layer of oily substance sticks to my hand.
These volatile chemicals can be carcinogenic and wonder how can Ikeas sell such dangerous product to the public.
As I'm 75 year old and not able to return it to the store [I paid an extra $65 to have it delivered when I bought it] Just don't know what to do with this.
Could someone from Ikea help???
I've never complained anything I bought and this is so bad and I'm stuck. Just hope others won't suffer as I do.

Can’t even use due to missing partsMikeDrove two hours and waited another hour to get this. Got home and no parts in the box. IKEA offered to mail the missing parts in 7-10 days. Not worth the hassle
Cannot cleanAlexaCan’t clean this bad boy to save my life. Tried and it just leaves dark water stains all over. Please make covers? Or recreate a design in which you can remove and fully wash and dry or hang dry the covers. Spot cleaning makes it look awfully dirty and disgusting. I regret even trying to. Also very low to ground, better for kids room (but expect stains from kids), not comfy to sleep on as adult.
Loved it at first JoannaLost its shape after less than a year. The seat when folding it back up doesn’t go in all the way and the fabric has become loose/ stretched out.
Followed instructions on how to maintain the fabric, but t’s impossible to clean.
Uncomfortable and not worth the moneyAzadIt’s complete disaster, don’t buy it online without going to ikea and try it for yourself. Sit 5 mins and you’ll realize it’s the most uncomfortable sofa you ever seen

looks cute but thats itPiotrsits way too low to the ground, not enough support feels like you're sinking. when cushions are laid out in bed mode the top third has no cushioning you just lay on hard wood i guess? when in couch mode the top two thirds of cushion constantly slide forward snd the back cushions fall into the crack at the backrest. would not reccomend. have had it for 3 months and its already creaking

Very cuteNatalieThis futon looks very nice. The pillow top is quite squishy so if you sit too close to the edge you begin to sink into the side of it. When you fold it out like a futon, the head of the “bed” is very hard so you really need to place your pillows there which shortens the amount of sleep space. However, this is a great little couch/futon for kids! We have it in our sons room and he absolutely loves it.
