Poor product qualityJohnnyI purchased the FJÄLLARNIKA down comforter in January 2024 and found a serious quality issue. The down filling keeps moving toward the sides and four corners, leaving the center area very thin with almost no warmth. The corners become puffy, but the middle feels flat and cold. This makes the comforter far less warm than advertised.
When I first bought it, I thought it was normal for a down comforter to shift a little, but after about a month of use, the problem became worse. Even after shaking and redistributing the down, it moves back to the corners again after a few days.
Now it’s too late for a return, but I believe this is a design or filling defect rather than a normal usage issue. The comforter does not provide the warmth or comfort described in IKEA’s product details. I would like to know if IKEA offers any solution for this, such as repair, refill, or a possible quality compensation.1

Smells super bad…RachelRight out of the packaging, it smelt like a barn…really unpleasant smell I can’t use the product.1
Fluffy DuvetJanetI was needing a new King Duvet but for the price of this Duvet I bought 2 queen. Now my husband and I have our own Duvet....no fighting. Perfect weight and very fluffy.5
Perfect and warm with one flawJenniferI do like this Duvet. However it’s missing ties on the corners. Add the ties and it would be perfect.3

Great!LorettaYou need more zippered covers for the douvets. No button ones. They are useless.4
Love This Duvet!ArianaMy husband and I love this duvet as it gets very chilly and night. There was no issue regarding smell as I unwrapped it but decided to air it out just in case. I read some other reviews and decided not to wash it but still air it outside and continue to do so to prevent mold. I don't really see cleanliness being an issue considering I frequently wash our duvet covers due to our dogs. I may do the recommend wash before storing it away. If you do decide to wash it, I highly recommend reading the instruction booklet ikea provides or watch a few YouTube videos. This isn't something you can wash and forget about then move to the dryer once you remember. I highly recommend this duvet so long as you're willing to take care of it.5
Fjaellarnika is a good investment to stay warm in winter.SigridI didn't need to know any information prior to purchasing the Fjaellarnika because I knew what I wanted.5
Smells like a chicken farm Anonymous reviewerbought it from the canton store near Detroit, the duvet is definitely warm and looks nice on a bed but no matter how much I’ve aired it out the smell of bird farm will not come out. I have not wash it or gotten it wet and thought maybe it would dissipate over the month and a half I’ve owned it but nope. Not worth the money unless you enjoy the vibe of sleeping in a barn. 1
DuvetSharonI just love the new queen size duvet! It's getting cold 🥶 outside and I wanted something to keep me warm....

Fabric is too thick, making it too heavy. Not comfortable at all.Yan Chun HelenNot satisfied 3
King Duvet MelissaIt looks very light and small when it comes but it fills out to be quite a nice duvet. Not too heavy and not too light 5
Discrepancy in QualityAlyssaI acquired the queen-sized item several years ago, and it has consistently proven remarkable, offering exceptional warmth and boasting ample feather filling. However, my recent acquisition of the king-sized duvet has been disappointing, as it exhibits subpar quality. Notably, despite the increase in size, the quantity of feathers remains unchanged from the queen-sized counterpart, resulting in a disparity in performance and comfort.1
