The inner cushion may have a slight natural smell from the down and feathers. It’s harmless and fades over time. Airing or washing it and drying it thoroughly in a dryer helps the smell fade faster.

I picked the STOCKHOLM cover in rust and brown tones for the fall and winter, and will be purchasing a different cover to change things up for spring and summer. Some people say they aren't as thick as they'd like, but a secret to purchasing these is to buy a larger size to insert and then, suddenly, it fills the pillow cover up nicely. Don't go too much bigger, though (i.e. a 20x20 in an 18x18 pillow cover)5
