Good couch for the priceJean2323Purchased this couch a few days ago and enjoying it so far. First thing to note is that the colour tallmyra black/grey has a blueish hue to it rather than being straight black/grey, it is like a very dark blue-black denim. We were not expecting this as we purchased it online; however, the colour is still very nice and works well in our space. The fabric seems quite durable. Overall the couch is very comfortable. It does take around 3 hours to put together (2 people) and attention to detail will pay off in making sure the couch comes together well. Ironing the cushions is a must, as well as removing the tags from the cushions before covering them or you will have crinkling noises. The ottoman lid is very heavy but spacious and includes bottom vents, the cushion sits a little higher than the rest of the couch cushions. Overall the couch isn't perfect but is great value for the cost.4
Structural defect in frame at attachment sectionhannanicI bought the couch when it first became available, about a few weeks ago. There is a structural defect in the frame where one sectional attaches to the corner piece. As a result you can visually see that the two sections do not align, and when you sit in the corner piece you fall into it (rather than sit) due to the slanting. The cushion covers fit very loose, even after waiting 72 hours for the cushions to fully inflate. The cushions also have a very heavy chemical scent to them, despite the fact that the couch was not sprayed with any extra flame retardants (as marked on couch). In my opinion, for the price of the couch these flaws should not be there. I have tried to contact ikea twice, most recently about 2 weeks ago. I have not heard back from them, likely due to COVID19 related delays.2
