This plant is sensitive to under-watering, which may cause the leaves to fall off.

Give your plants a boost with fertilizer every month. If you notice that the plant has gone dormant - let it be until next season.

IKEA provides all potted plants with nutrient-rich soil, repotting is not needed until 1 year after purchase.

Great plantChristopherHealthy and in good condition. Had to sort through a few undesirables to get a good one but that’s not unusual for plant sales. 5

Beautiful Plant. I realized onceJaniceBeautiful Plant. I realized once I got home the stakes that were put in to stabilize the plant in the pot were put in upside down. The stakes were damaging the leaves.4

Slightly neglected but it should flourishWaldemarIt's an attractive plant with broad leaves and short sections between the leaves. The one I bought is taller and less dense than the one shown on the web site. Some leaves, specially the older ones, have scars from mishandling and are covered with hard to remove residue, but I managed to get rid of it. It required immediate repotting from 9.5" to 11", which may add to the stress related to relocation. I didn't know that the plant prefers direct sunlight, but I hope it will thrive in my room.4
A sad, sick figAllisonWas super excited in April when these came back in stock. I spent a good amount of time selecting one I thought looked healthiest and assumed they were a bit rough around the edges due to transport and maybe not being super well cared for on the floor. I'm an experienced fig owner, so I was confident I could get this plant back on the road to health. I was wrong. The plant lost most of it's leaves within a month. I've continued to tend to it, but here we are 6 months later and my plant has but two, sad, dark spotted leaves left; it's almost the Charlie Brown Christmas tree. Surprisingly, I still have the receipt, so IKEA, can I return the plant? I feel bad giving up on it, but I can't help but think this plant was doomed way before I brought it home. Bottom line, if the plants on the floor look like they're struggling, they probably are and my suggestion would be to save your $$$, your time and your effort. I know they're a great price and all, but it just isnt worth it in the end.1

Great Plant for a Great PriceAnonymous reviewerI love to purchase plants whenever I make the trek into Ikea. The plants are usually decent quality and significantly cheaper than the garden centres. This same size fiddle leaf fig is $50-$60 at my local garden centre.5
