The surface is also rough (mostly the lighter coloured parts) and some wood particles are coming off the board. I do not recommend this product.

Beautiful cutting boards ChristineThis has a beautiful grain, nice to keep on counter. Just wish it had a hole to hang, so I did it myself!
Comes unfinished - prickly and uselessDariaYou'll have to sand it if you wish to use it - the moment you wash it, the wood grain will come up. Total waste of money. More and more of Ikea's products come half-finished, yet Ikea is becoming more and more expensive.
