Old vs. NewWalterThe old round lanterns had an advantage in the sense that wind didn't blow out the candle. Wear and tear on the latched hinges of the old lanterns where inconvenient but at least it protected the candles from blowing off with the wind. However; The new lanterns are especially nice for their shape and size. The hinge is much improved, the magnetic door feature is effortlessly nice and neat but with the exception of your candle going off to the wind if placed outdoors. That's the only flaw I see with it, other than that... it's a beautiful product for indoors!5
