I originally bought one to store coffee beans in so that I could pour beans into my grinder without needing a scoop. I was so impressed with it that I ended up buying a few more for water. The colour of the lid is a nice off-white (not a deep beige) and the lack of insulation means it's super light. The lid material is a robust matte-textured plastic. The silicone seal is removable for cleaning, which makes me want to give 6/5 stars if it were possible. 5
