Doesn't last one year laterShamallaPurchased this a year ago and within 7 months the back was falling apart and the shelfs inside became loose. Its a very heavy piece would looke nicer with legs and better materials.
The most difficult furniture to assemble !! LobsangI did it solo and it is freaking difficult to built this up I hope no one goes through this . You paid and top of it you have to struggle building it up . Makes life more difficult . I bought three of them … the back plywood or hard paper board is too thin. This was the most diffficult frustrating ikea setup I ever experienced . Better not to do it alone .
How to align the doorsAllysonThese cabinets are a bit time consuming to put together, but I didn’t have any issues. I found the best way to get the doors to align is to skip the plastic anchors/wedges for the back panel until the very end. Once you have attached the doors, hold the unit square (may be easier with 2 people, but I did it solo) so the doors are lined up. Then, insert the plastic anchors, one on each side of the unit, while ensuring the doors are even. Once each side has one anchor, the rest should go in easily and the doors should stay aligned!
Perfect for us!SharonThese were purchased to add storage to our enclosed porch. They are the perfect size for what we need. We also purchased the matching drawers, 2 units, when stacked are the same height. This gave us the mix of drawers and shelves. They are sturdy, the right size for us, and fully functional. And they look really nice!
Confusing assembly instructions, no room for mistakeNegarThe only Ikea furniture that was hard to assemble and also if you make a mistake there would be no way to correct it without damaging the product.
Good but not greatJeremyAs others have mentioned below, the doors do not align 100% which diminishes the appearance. Magnetic latch failed on day 1 for one of the doors
Misaligned Doors TaylorAfter building this for an hour, we ended with a disappointing result - the doors are misaligned and the whole unit is flimsy & cheap. It already has wear on the white coating just from building it and it arrived damaged (chipped on the top board). Very disappointed for the price paid how cheap and frankly ugly this piece of furniture is when built. The door mechanism is faulty and the doors do not open easily. All in all, such a cheap item and disappointing to purchase this from IKEA.
Worst ikea productAnonymous reviewerI’ve put together an ikea product together a time or two and never have much of an issue. These are just absolutely terrible. They do not go together. It is so difficult to get the backplate and the forth side in at the same time and if you do - too bad - your doors will never line up. Do not waste your time or money. They look great in the store but you will never get them like that at home. The siding also chips like crazy.
Worst Ikea product I have purchased LindsayAll the poor reviews are very true. Would say this is the worst item I’ve purchased from ikea in terms of assembling and also quality. Bought 2 and had to damage both to get the 4th panel on and the doors do not sit flush. The panels are very easy to scratch and chip, I had this happen during assembling. Disappointing purchase!

Horrible Anonymous reviewerImpossible to put this thing together and so poorly made. One of the magnetic push door mechanisms simply doesn’t work. The backer board is impossible to install because of the way the four frames lock into one another. I had to damage it to get it in. I spent longer building these two ridiculous cabinets than 4 Billy bookcases that were anchored to a concrete wall. One of the doors is also crooked with no way to fix. I should have trusted the other reviewers! IKEA has gone downhill. Exorbitant prices and terrible quality.

What a waste of money and time!JasminBought this unit, took it home to assemble. Noticed that the pieces listed in the instructions did not look like the ones I had in front of me, assembled it to the best of my ability only to not be able to fully assemble it due to the incorrect pieces in the box. Took it back, they exchanged it for me. Got the second one home thinking its a one off error...NOPE same issue with second unit. The pieces in the box are not the right ones. There is no way to attach the doors with the pieces in the box. Now I have to do the 45 minute drive a SECOND time to return this one. What a waste of time and money!
Defective pieces, no time to replaceAnonymous reviewerI bought this cabinet and built it and there's defective parts so I wasn't able to install one of the two doors and it's still not fully installed after 3 weeks of having it because I don't have time to go back to ikea to get the pieces. And the pieces that help pop open the doors don't work properly either. So it's really frustrating having this cabinet and it looks broken. There should be an easy way to get the defective parts replaced and sent by mail or something to save me the trip to the store.
Worst Door MechanisumParthThe door lock is not working I had to put a knob to open the doors, the magnetic coil is not working, worst purchase yet from IKEA.
Horrible DoorsStephanieWe purchased these knowing there may be some issues with the doors from prior reviews. The doors do not line up at all, and there is nothing you can do to make them square.

Easy install but..LisaI bought 6 of these for shoe storage and putting the pieces together was very easy however the cabinet doors have a shaped gap between them despite how I adjust the doors.
