Each armchair has a unique expression since the wooden frame is first stained in a dark-brown tone and then covered with clear lacquer that makes the wood’s natural grains visible.
High-resilience foam in the seat and back makes the armchair regain its shape when you stand up, and it’s complemented with zigzag springs in the seat and supportive fabric in the back for a firm comfort.
You will sit stable and steady for years to come since the frame is made of hardwearing solid wood. You also enjoy a relaxed sitting position thanks to the angled backrest.
The tall legs in solid wood make it easy to vacuum or reach things hiding under the armchair to avoid clutter.
The elegant, fixed cover has a perfect fit that will last over time. You can choose from different covers and find one that suits you and your home.

Excellent chair, even second handSteveI make indoor furniture for a living. I pulled the chair apart; all the staples, cleaned the fabric, disassembled and refinished the wood frame (beech) then reassembled it. Very well made and comfortable for a mass produced item. It’s great to see Ikea still making some solid wood furniture.
Great look but poor qualityRodneyI purchased two of these chairs because I loved the low profile, the styling and they fit the decor in our living room. They seemed very comfortable in the store. However when it came to assembly I was surprised by the poor quality and lack of attention to detail. We paid $300 per chair & they felt very cheap when I began to assemble them. The many staples are clearly visible on the frame, the zippers on the back of the chair were too tight to open with your fingers. The bolt assembly felt very non-iKea, they didn’t fit flush, no tooling is included to assist in tightening them to the frame. The wooden arms were poorly stained or painted with small dents, I didn’t open the 2nd chair because I felt that there were too many issues and I have never experienced this poor quality from Ikea before.
almost worth it.Vikastried it out at the ikea store alongside many similar chairs. really wanted to buy for a nice sitting place by a bedroom window. the arms are not as strong as some of the other chairs i was trying. it certainly looks very strong but the actual frame, when you see it in person, is either a soft/soft-medium wood or just not enough wood to give it the solid feel that it appears to have from all photos. i also felt the wood finish was not of the quality one should expect from a decent mfg like ikea... the paint finish had uneven streaks and paint lumps (dry of course). so, such a nice looking and fairly comfortable chair but a bit of a lost opportunity due to it being simply too lightly made.
Disappointing. ScottLove the design of this chair but after less than two years and with only minimal use the cushioning is gone. This isn’t the first time we’ve encountered this with IKEA cushioning.
Stylish Armchair with Good Comfort, But Could Be Better.Anonymous reviewerThis armchair looks great. The external chair frame is made with real wood, which isn't common for Ikea products. The cover fabric seems durable. You won't see any nuts and bolts unless you look underneath the seat. The comfort level of the seat and back cushion is good, but not great. I also purchased the Finnala loveseat sofa from Ikea. The removable seat inner cushion of the loveseat has a layer of pocket spring units, making the seats exceptionally comfortable—soft yet supportive due to the pocket spring units. I wish the seat inner cushion of this armchair also came with a layer of pocket spring units.

Excellent designDanishWe researched a lot for these kind of chairs. The one thing I didn’t like in other non ikea ones is that you’d see the screws. In this however the design is made such that you won’t see any screws or holes. Assembly was a breeze with about 15-20 min for each to assemble all by myself.
