Overall good, but expect to finish the wood yourselfRebekahI bought this cabinet as an accent piece for a living room and I’m happy with it, with a few caveats. The metal cabinet itself feels solid, and assembly was straightforward. Once put together, it feels sturdy and functional.
The main downside for me was the wood frame and legs. The wood arrives completely unfinished, without even a clear top coat, and the surface was a bit fuzzy and rough to the touch. That didn’t bother me personally because my plan was to customize the piece, but if you’re expecting smooth, finished wood out of the box, this could be disappointing. The wood was also noticeably more yellow in person than it appears in the photos.
It definitely leans industrial. I painted the metal body a taupe color, sanded the wood frame and legs, painted them a dark brown, and added brass knobs. With those changes, it looks much better.

cute and easy assembly
this is a cute and affordable upgrade for my living room. the metal and wood frame is very complimentary to other ikea furniture. the doors have a really satisfactory click/close. well constructed, easy build by myself. Ellie, United States
