A throwback in both design and quality that lives up to the originalKarenHave always liked the original design. Solid quality. Only wish there were a few other more neutral colours too5
Cute & sturdyAlbertineLovely simple little stool. Comes together in about a minute and looks lovely. I've used it as a plant stand, seat, and night table. I like it so much I'll probably get one or two more in other colours.5
Domain chairIrineLove the quality and design 5
Just what I neededMartinaI have a tiny kitchen and therefore a tiny kitchen table that folds down. Having a full sized chair defeated the purpose. I was using an old stool that my parents bought from Ikea many years ago that had seen its fair share of abuse. So I looked it up in the Ikea website and there was the same chair in a few great new colours. I bought two with one put easily out of sight until needed. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. Thanks Ikea!5
Great product at a good priceSoThis is a sturdy and attractive stool (I got the lilac/pine colour). I also like the fact that the stools can be stacked to save space. 5
Funky little stoolHesterThis was a great choice. It was the right color and size for where I planned it. Assembly is very easy. Make seems sturdy, materials are straightforward. 5
Obsessed!!!AlexandraI LOVE this design!!! The legs are such a nice orange and pair perfectly with the wood top. I'm a huge fan of 80's Memphis design and love using brightly colored metal throughout the house. This pairs very well with the yellow coatrack and looks very cool in almost every room in our house. It also makes for the perfect sized stool to sit on while brushing my 4 year olds teeth while he stands on a step stool. Absolutely love it!5
Exactly like the pictureLeashaEasy assembly and perfect for my daughter's room. Also helped being her favorite color!5
I purchased this item fromJenniferI purchased this item from the "dinged up, returned, and as-is" section by the checkout and am still very satisfied, love it - was already assembled and ready to use too, easy-peasy. :)5
Exactly what I neededXinruI was looking for a simple round stool and previously, Ikea really only offered the Kyrre which in my opinion is too recognizable and everyone has it.... These are sturdy and I have 4 of them around my apartment at various locations so I can use them to reach higher shelves. They look really nice. Great price and easy to assemble. Had a dinner party and everyone liked them. Planning on getting more in different colors.5
ClassicChrisI have the og 50 year old one with white legs. Still looks great after all these years.5
Love the look, but one screw does not fitEmilieI love the look of the stool. But you don't really know what will be the color and look of the wood before opening the box. I looked at +4 boxes in store before buying mine and they were quite different. I chose a wood with a more apparent grain. During assembly (which is pretty simple), I realized that one of the holes in the foot was not aligned with the one on the seat (1/2 inch off), I tried different options, but the screw does not fit because the hole is misaligned. This does not seem to affect its stability, and I prefer to keep it despite this because I took the time to choose the wood4

Designer thoughts

It was love at first sight when Ingvar Kamprad saw a wooden chair in 1964 by a designer named Karin Mobring. With an eye for materials and a talent for designing comfortable furniture, she became the first female designer at IKEA. An example of her many years of work is the stackable JERRY stool, which was presented in our 1973 catalogue. In the Nytillverkad collection it is back with new colours under the name DOMSTEN. A true icon, just like its creator.
