They always had either an inconvenient cover, cheap gears that break, or didn't really grind at all! This one is flawless! Only drawback is getting used to GENTLY taking the cover off, or else you take the gear off as well.5

Beware the materialsShenNice and simple little spice mill. Just note, when reading the materials info online, only stainless steel, glass and ceramic material were listed. Using only those three materials were a big driver in purchasing this over other products. It's very obvious that there's a decent chunk of plastic use on this product as soon as you open it up. The sticker on it also states it contains the following: iron, nickel, chromium, formaldehyde, styrene, butadiene, acrylonitrile, and aluminium. Hope they update the product page to fully reflect this.4
