The grinding mechanism is on the top, which prevents spices from getting on to the table or shelf.
Has a ceramic grinding mechanism which is harder and more durable than steel grinders.
You decide how finely you want to grind the contents with a setting on the top of the spice mill.
The spice jar can be stored in a drawer together with UPPDATERA spice rack.
Just as useful by the stove as on the dining table.
You easily see when it's time to refill since the spice jars are made of clear glass.

Perfect little millCarinaSomehow, I haven't found a good pepper or salt grinder in the past 10 years. They always had either an inconvenient cover, cheap gears that break, or didn't really grind at all! This one is flawless! Only drawback is getting used to GENTLY taking the cover off, or else you take the gear off as well.

Just note, when reading the materials info online, only stainless steel, glass and ceramic material were listed. Using only those three materials were a big driver in purchasing this over other products.
It's very obvious that there's a decent chunk of plastic use on this product as soon as you open it up.
The sticker on it also states it contains the following: iron, nickel, chromium, formaldehyde, styrene, butadiene, acrylonitrile, and aluminium.
Hope they update the product page to fully reflect this.
