Good for saving spacegonzaloI live in a studio and having it helped me to save space. Not well suited for cooking but everything else works fine. It moves a little if the wheels are not well orientated while locked but having them makes the cleaning and positioning easier.4
Portable tablesSharonWe love our Bror tables -- yes we have 2 in our Veterinary Hospital. We had extra solid surface pieces from a friend and have those on top - perfect!!! Great investment and the staff love them!5
Get your power tools ready! Tricky without.JENNACould not have done this with the allen key provided unless I had three hands to keep heavy posts aligned while screwing. Quality is great! Simple and functional design. Love the look! Sad that some accessories are out of stock. 😕5
Excelent to little spacesNataliaWe have a really small kitchen, so we need to make the most of the space that we have, and BROR helps us to keep everything tidy and at hand.5

Perfect!MaryAnneWe used this as a base for a ironing table for my sewing room. Fairly easy to put together (2 people), great casters (even on carpet), nice looking top even though we covered it with plywood, lots of levels to put the shelf.5
Strong, Sturdy, Fairy Simple, $$$RyanThis cart rolls really well. We have it on a tiled floor so it isn't the best floor to be on, but when it avoids the grout lines, the wheels are smooth. Building it was fairly simple, I kept all the bolts a little loose until everything was attached and then tightened in a sequential order to make sure everything was level and aligned. Good material, strong, doesn't feel like it will bend under pressure. Currently we have a Microwave on the bottom shelf, a Kuerig, tea pot and kettle on the top, and small items in the middle. Works great as a moving island for us. A little on the higher price of Ikea, but worth it. Got it on sale, which is the more appealing price point for this item.5
Two BROR carts were purchasedMARTINETwo BROR carts were purchased for use in a commercial setting. They have had heavy use as a packing platform for bottles and they have stood up very well. They were straightforward to assemble.5

Great utility cartMelissaGreat utility cart5
Thrilled with this purchaseAnonymous reviewerI bought this item yesterday - my handyman assembled it for me in a short time - it is definitely heavy duty, it is holding my Vitamix, food processor, mixer, etc. - it wheels around easily - the butcher block top is sanded smooth but unfinished - I will likely keep it this way since I am just going to use it for storing bowls of fruit, etc. but it could be oiled or stained - this cart has effectively given me about 12 sq.ft. of extra kitchen space. Oh..I should say this cart was NOT assembled anywhere in the Richmond BC store so I had to buy it on trust - glad I did!5

The strongest storage we’ve made so far

Does your garage sometimes feel like a lost civilization? Pyramids of paint cans grouped around the car, sports equipment you can’t remember even using and forgotten hobbies in boxes stacked high. IKEA product developer Lina Ringefelt wanted to help out. The outcome: the heavy-duty BROR storage system.

Lina and her team researched peoples’ garage needs and found that there’s an interest in everything from full-on hobby rooms, to a place to pot plants and work on cars, as well as storage for everything from heavy power tools to seasonal equipment. Many people also want lockable, closed and open storage that could hold very heavy loads.

Creating very strong storage

“I was inspired by classic industrial furniture typically used in workshops during the 50’s, as well as Meccano, to create the design,“ Lina says. “The idea was to create these beautiful storage units that have double the weight carrying capacity of any other shelves we were making at the time.” Engineer Philip Nedergaard made sure that the design held true to the heavy-duty ambition. “We built some of what we call ‘worst-case scenarios’ by loading the shelves high with concrete bags to really test that the shelves could safely hold almost anything you would want to keep in a garage,“ he says.

Combining good looks and practicality

The result is an adjustable series of shelving units with closed and open storage, including a trolley that serves as a movable shelf and workstation. But perhaps the series biggest calling card is its combination of looks and function. BROR could definitely be used in the home too.

What is steel?

Steel has unique characteristics when it is stretched and shaped since it remains strong. It provides strength to everything from skyscrapers and cars to bed frames and outdoor furniture. The steel industry is moving in the direction of more energy-efficient production and stronger steel qualities. It doesn’t lose any of its properties when recycled and today steel is one of the most recycled materials in the world.

A real tough one

BROR storage system can withstand a lot. The widest and deepest shelves actually hold 285 lbs. and the smallest shelves can hold 154 lbs. This means that you can store both tires and heavy flower pots without problems. We know this since we tested the storage system by filling the shelves with concrete bags – all to ensure that they can safely hold almost anything you can imagine storing, regardless if the surroundings are tropically moist or dry and freezing cold.
