Details matter in assembly! AndreaSo it totally makes a difference that the legs/posts are the right side up. The top edge corners should be rounded. The bottoms are more square. I initially thought the post direction wouldn't matter as long as all were facing the same way but nope. Makes all the difference in getting everything to line up and fit together. Sometimes it helps to hammer the horizontal bars only half way and fit the rest of the bars in place before hammering them all the way in. Similarly don't tighten the bolts all the way until everything is in place. The shelves are sturdy and will be much easier to clean than wooden shelves. Looks great in the garage. 4
Worst Shelf EverHaywardI'm shocked that something so poor in quality came from IKEA. The materials are flimsy and bend if you look at them the wrong way. The instructions are awful. Assembly is a nightmare. It's a good thing IKEA is a well established company at this point because if they started out making this garbage they wouldn't have made it through their first year.1
