Very difficult to assembleShimaIt was very difficult to assemble as the parts are not numbered! We needed to work on it like puzzle pieces. Please fix this issue for the future customers. It’s not going to cost you much IKEA!
Very disappointed – doors don’t fit even after multiple triesWeyniI bought the BRIMNES wardrobe with 3 doors (white, 117x190 cm) back in 2023. At first, I didn’t return it because I was too busy to assemble right away. When I finally tried to put it together after about 4 months, I discovered the doors do not fit properly.
I even asked friends to help, but none of us could get the doors aligned. In the end, I’ve been forced to use it without doors for almost 2 years now. For the price, I expected something functional, but the design/assembly seems flawed.
Very disappointing purchase. Hopefully this review saves someone else from the same frustration. I never write reviews in my life, but this time I feel I have to. I’m very disappointed. Thanks 🙏🥲
Broken MDF, IKEA will not replaceJenniferAn update as with other customers, the MDF boards busted apart when the wardrobe was lifted into place. IKEA insists the problem was with my assembly, even though we have purchased and assembled many other items including wardrobes. Beware that this company will not offer a refund or replacement when the MDF immediately fails. Ultimately, you will lose your money and be left with an unusable item as other reviewers have also said.
Broke apart on first dayJenniferMy husband and I ordered this unit, it arrived intact and we assembled it on its side exactly according to the instructions. When we lifted the unit into its upright position, many of the screws burst out of the manufactured wood - the sides just broke off under its own weight. It's completely broken. Called Ikea and they said they wouldn't refund or replace the item because it arrived intact. Absolutely ridiculous. I honestly will never order Ikea again. Beware! Terrible customer service for a problem that had nothing to do with us. We followed the assembly instructions exactly.

Better than the 2 door versionSandraI bought the 3 door & 2 door versions. The 2 door feels a whole lot flimsier & unstable. It rocks every time I open the doors, and I am very careful opening it due to its instability. I regret buying that one.
This 3 door version is far heavier duty, far sturdier, far more stable, much more weighty, as I found out when I decided to get this thing upright by myself after putting it together. It could squash you like an insect if you make one wrong more.
A couple of things I thing I wish IKEA would do with all of their furniture:
• mark out where the tacks should be placed on the back panel to avoid us damaging them when we are slightly off center; it would be easy enough to score or print a very faint line on the back
• include some sliders, because moving this behemoth across carpet with the raw particle board edges after getting it upright is impossible; likewise other pieces of IKEA furniture
• start marking the pieces by letter A / B / C; it's about time this happened
