Beware drawers don’t open far!AprilI was thrilled getting this in the box from the as is online for $100 less. However disappointed for how far the drawers don’t come out. Probably a safety thing. Very annoying when putting things away. Glad I didn’t pay full price. From other reviews, the design changed from several years ago.
SatisfiedScott - JenDelivery was received as scheduled and the delivery persons were kind.
All necessary parts were present, in good shape and it took my husband and I about 2 hrs to assemble. We laid the pieces out before staring assembly. Instructions were clear and easy to follow.
Drawers took some work to get into their track, but once they were in, the unit was solid.
The back is a solid piece, not flimsy partical board. Our only concern will be how well the drawer bottoms will hold up over time. Typical thin partical board, but as long as it is used with general care, it should be fine.
The unit is heavy to move for one person. 2 are required. 1 person can maneuver it into place, but to carry it, definitely 2. We removed the drawers before moving it which made it easier.
Our daughter was pleased with her new dresser. The black looks great, and the frosted drawer front is especially a nice touch.

Made it worseJeremyThis is the 2nd one I've bought. The first one I got in 2022 and is fantastic. It's still the same in look but they changed the sliders on the drawers, significantly shortening them for some reason. This results in the drawers only opening half way which is really annoying and they don't feel as smooth.

OkSharonI like the look and the size of the drawers, when assembling the dresser the instructions were not very clear on how to place certain pieces. Which led me to unscrew some pieces and the wood is very soft for the drawers. And some pieces were damaged because of the constant unscrewing ,the only solution ikea gave me was to return one box and they would replace it. That would mean taking apart the dresser and also remembering which pieces went in which box. IKEA needs to come up with a better solution and just replace the broken pieces and not the entire or half of the dresser since it came in 2 boxes.
NiceSusieFits clothes nicely. It isn't deep, but I knew that. The only thing I’m not a fan is the first with glass. Any colored items, it shows thru. I’m planning to maybe paint it. Otherwise nice furniture.
Good dresserSydneyBought two of these dressers to match my nightstands and they are very nice. Easy to put together and it’s solid. They also have super large drawers which was a nice surprise. The drawers don’t open all the way due to the new design, but it honestly doesn’t bother me that much.

Drawers dont open as wide as they used to MeganMost of these bad reviews are due to the new design. The rating of this model is now inflated since the older design is what people wanted. If you make a new design of something it's misleading to take advantage of the good reviews the old design had. Ikea do better this is unethical and such an inconvenience
Disappointed in BrimnesSimoneI've bought and assembled many pieces of furniture from Ikea but this product by far was the most disappointing. During assembly I had quite a few pieces of the dresser break or crack. But I gave it a chance and went in store and spoke to a customer representative about a broken piece and I was able to get a replacement piece but once completed I didn't have the confidence that this dresser would last. I'm probably going to return this dresser as per the 90 day policy as I'm very unsatisfied. The quality of Ikea products seem to have changed over the years. For reference I actually have the brimnes side table for the last 4 years and it's still holding up including after 2 moves.
Edges not finished ToniI’d have rated higher but there was too much exposed composite wood on them so they can’t be moved on carpet which is very inconvenient when you live alone and it chips easily as do the edges where the exposed parts are. Also needs soft close drawers
