J’adore cette bibliothèque!JulieFacile à assembler, elle loge beaucoup de livres. Je l’ai choisie avec portes vitrées pour protéger mes livres de la poussière et des poils de chat :-) et je ne regrette pas. Si vous voulez placer 2 rangées de livres sur une tablette, ils devront être en format poche ou petits paperbacks, sinon ils vont dépasser la largeur de la tablette et la porte pourrait ne pas fermer complètement. Une pièce est fournie pour fixer l’armoire au mur pour davantage de solidité.
Great unit but...GwynI have two suggestions.
One: Include longer screws for bracing the unit to the wall. The short screws included are far too short and will barely clear gyprock and not screw into a stud.
Two: Make the baseboard cut out longer. It didn't clear my baseboards by 1/4 inch and I had to trim it off. Hard to do when I only had a tree hand saw!
Otherwise, very nice unit, well made and finished, , easy to assemble. Have a Philips or X head screwdriver or drill, and a flat screwdriver handy. No tools included. Would deffo recommend.

Amazing versatility, but REEEEALLY wish it was available in a deeper depth.ShantelleI bought a pair of these and wanted to repurpose them in my home office for textbooks, binders, photobooks and decor pieces, but was very disappointed when I realized that none of my 11inch x 17inch tabloid-size photobooks could fit in landscape orientation with the binding showing. Same issue with my standard-sized binders and some decorative vases that I wanted to display, but keep dust-free behind glass. It's great for small items though. I think these should have a minimum of 12-in depth, but an 18-in depth would make this product the absolute best!!!
Beautiful addition to our living roomDayleFamily photos and treasured items are beautifully displayed behind glass doors ( less dusting! ) Addition of timer light strings highlight the shelves at night. I had task-rabbit assemble it; very professional and had it done in an hour. Highly recommend this bookcase in the walnut colour.
Wonderful size for every heightGregEasy to put together. Did not seek a divorce attorney after working on it together. Good height for her to use ( she’s 5’3”) and still lots of space despite its narrow footprint. Deceptive in its size for how much it can hold.swapped out the handles it came with for the Eneryda ones so it matched our koppang dresser. Very happy with it and works well with the dröna boxes.

An updated storage hero
BILLY bookcase has been a steady customer favourite for more than 40 years – but old faithful servants also need to be updated to keep up with the times. We took a closer look at BILLY and came up with some ideas. One of them means more efficient use of materials, and another makes the bookcase easier to assemble and take apart.
“BILLY was introduced in 1979 and has helped millions of people to organize books and other things in the home. But the world has changed a lot since then, and even popular big-sellers need to adapt to new demands and ways of living,” says Umut Ates, one of our co-workers.
Paper means smarter use of raw materials
Easier to assemble and take apart
BILLY fits just as well in the living room as in other areas of the home – the office, dining room or library. It’s easy to expand and combine with other furniture. But one thing that has had potential for improvement is how the bookcase is assembled and taken apart. “Previously, you had to nail about 50 small nails to get the back panel in place, but that’s history now. Instead, you snap on the back panel without any tools,” explains Umut. It also makes it easier to disassemble BILLY without damaging it if you move or want to resell your bookcase. “The improvements have made BILLY more adaptable – it can keep up changing life situations – and it wouldn’t surprise me if this storage hero is as popular in 40 years as it is today.”
