If you choose the soft closing function for your BESTÅ, we recommend complementing the fronts with knobs/handles to make the drawers/cabinets more convenient to open.

Not a great valueAnthonyI thought this was solid wood, for $600 I was definitely expecting solid wood. Definitely my fault for not noticing as it doesn't say it's solid wood anywhere. It does seem pretty solid, but it's going into a pretty humid room and I'm unsure how it will hold up.
The cam nuts that hold the sides and bottom together are plastic not metal, which is not very durable either, I would be hesitant to try and move this once assembled. Page 16 & 17 are very confusing as it is trying to indicate if you have baseboard trim to use page 17 and skip page 16 but it doesn't convey that very well.
I would have paid $400+ more for actual solid wood if it was an option and made more clear. I also wasn't aware there was a version with doors on both sides until I already assembled it.3
Disappointing- Missing partsJohnI got really excited when this arrived on time but when it got delivered, I was assembling it and noticed that some parts were missing. Had to order them online and took few days for me to finally finish assembling. It was very inconvenient and it made me frustrated. Yeah this looks good on the picture but looks cheap after you actually built it. Felt like I flushed my money (amounting to almost 1,000 bucks) down the drain. Not happy about this.1
Definitely on my top 10 list of purchases at IkeaRebeccaI purchased this item recently and it is perfect for me! For me, this acts as my pantry on one side, and a display case on the opposite side. I think it is an amazing design overall! And I love the look and size of it!! I’m extremely happy with the quality as well! I found it was easy to follow the instructions to build. I am very very pleased with this purchase! Best part for me is that I can change up the shelves anytime I want! It will constantly be convenient for me if I decide to change around my items on display or add/remove items from my pantry. Thank you Ikea!5
