The push-open function requires a space between the frame and the drawer front to allow the drawer to be pushed to open. The small gap is necessary to allow this function and is not a product deviation.

Poor Quality, Difficult to AssembleTylerThe back panel is cardboard, which is what prevents the unit from shearing side to side. Unfortunately, the vertical sides also flex, which makes the backing very likely to pop out during assembly. In my experience, I had to be very selective of location and type of shelves to ensure the structure would stay standing, and also opted to 3D print braces to ensure stability. I picked up some extra drawers for the bottom, neither of which line up correctly despite being listed as compatible and having 3 axes of adjustment.

Incredibly hard to assemble, the back piece which gives it its support and integrity is a joke trying to get it to stay into the "slots".
Last week I noticed it coming apart too, which has me looking for a replacement.
Wow Ikea, sorry, but with this piece it shows how your recent quality has been seriously compromised.
Give me the old Bonde back any day.
Nightmare AssemblyPriyaThought this would be straight forward like the other Besta pieces. We've tried endlessly to line up the doors/drawers and make it stable but no luck. Will be returning this piece. Wish it was better constructed to hold the sides straight up instead of leaning - the foot screws don't help at all to level.
