Drawers to not line upNeeralI installed a full 3x3 Besta setup using a TaskRabbit installer booked directly through IKEA. The drawers still do not line up evenly, even after trying every possible adjustment. This is not an assembly issue. Once the units are stacked, taking them apart to return or exchange anything is not realistic. I would end up paying more to the same TaskRabbit service to dismantle and rebuild the entire structure than the product is worth. The alignment problem shows a basic design flaw. A system that cannot maintain straight drawer lines after professional installation and multiple adjustment attempts is not a reliable product. For the cost, the time, and the added installation fees, this falls well below acceptable quality.1

Quality is not was it used to beMichelleI've bought several Besta units over the years and this recent purchase was to add to an existing room. The quality has significantly decreased. The pieces that used to be metal are now plastic and the overall feel of it put together isn't the same. Also, the instructions are horrible! I've put together many Ikea pieces over the years and a whole Akurum kitchen without any issues but this was ridiculous.2

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded.
