Perfect Fit for the Wall UnitMarkThe Bergshult shelves are not only beautiful, but they are strong. I'm using them as book shelves and there is no sagging in the middle due to the weight of the books.
Exactly what was needed CindyWe replaced some upper kitchen cabinets with open shelving. These were perfect. The option to have the plain or scalloped edge side facing out is a nice feature. Beautiful finish and able to put up straight out of the box. No painting required!! The length options were also perfect- only had to cut one to fit its location and it cut easily. My pet peeve are labels that are near impossible to remove - they peeled off easily, clean and I thank any company who has the good thinking to use good labels!!!!
Shelving for bedrooms. Great product.LisaI used this, in both my childrens bedrooms and our master bedroom. It is a great clean look for adding storage to space. I used as bookshelf space in 2 rooms, a display shelf for my sons Lego cars he built for display in his room.

Perfectly adaptable and sleekIrisI was looking for shelves that would fit exactly a width of 31.5” these were perfect. I love that IKEA sells the brackets separately as the brackets would have made the area too small to fit the spaces that I have in my home. I was originally wanting to purchase the Lack floating shelves but they don’t come in that size and honestly the Bergshult height of an inch makes it so much sleeker and minimalist. They were perfect my project and home. I also love that you have the option of choosing to show the beveled side or straight edge for the front. I went with the straight edge. I paid $25 per shelf and bought 8 shelves but think they should be $20 compared to other shelves at IKEA. $25 is still affordable but compared to other shelves I think $20 would have been more appropriate.

What is particleboard?
Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded.
