BÅRSLÖV sofa-bed comes with soft shapes and generously sized, comfortable cushions that make it a perfect place to sink into.
This sofa converts quickly and easily into a spacious bed when you remove the back cushions and pull out the underframe.
Storage space under the chaise. The lid stays open so you can safely and easily take things in and out.
The chaise lounge can be placed either to the left or right, so you can adapt the sofa to your space and your preferences.

Don’t buy this sofaAnonymous reviewerI bought this sectional with storage for my new condo. Had it for a week. Sat on the extended lounge seat and heard a loud noise. The spring latch underneath broke off. By the way, I’m 130lbs which is lighter than the average person who might sit on this sofa. Any sectional with storage is risky as the springs could be compromised due to the hollow space underneath. To makes matter worse with a defective or poor quality product, I’m now stuck on the return process and their third-party pick-up team is making matters worse. IKEA and GoBolt clearly disregards their customer’s experience and concerns. I am really upset because I took time off work to schedule around the pick-up and the full refund process does not start until the product is picked up and brought back for full inspection AND THEN it takes many business days for the refund to fully process, all this while I’m down $1600 to buy a replacement sofa. Terrible service and experience as a new first-time homebuyer.

Good sofaTeresaThe design is great and fairly easy to assemble but you need two people to do it. However, the quality of the material is not the greatest and definitely it won’t last more than a few years.
Unsatisfactory - ai wish I’d read the reviews before buying..Ishfaq M So I bought this and suddenly the bolt and screws came out of the wooden area and stripped the wood.. Now we can’t place the bolt back and we can’t use it as a bed beachside it keeps separating.. Did not expect such lousy craftsmanship for the price.. Also I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing because most problems seem to be in the same area.. I have been an IKEA customer since ages and trust their products blindly.. This buy seems to be a huge mistake and I was there are others selling similar products at half the price..
IKEA I hope you resolve this issue I have no idea what to do!
Comfortable and Well-Constructed!TeresaThis sofa is super comfortable to sit on and to sleep on! There is enough space to sit 3-4 adults comfortably. It is wide enough to have a nap on a lazy Sunday afternoon but, if you’re spending the night, it flips out to make a wide bed that could sleep 2 people! The lounge portion is long enough for my 34 inch long legs and stores all of the bedding that’s needed for the sofa bed.
Sleep sofaConniePretty good, looks nice, only problem is pull out part slightly lower than sofa. I use a featherbed but, will also need something extra on the pull out part.
Sofá bedAnonymous reviewerI bought this sofa this month and I already regret it. Poor quality. The assembler put the screws in, but they were loose. I noticed when I pulled it to turn it into a bed, and I tried to put them in, but the screws were stripped. I reported it to IKEA and they asked me to get other screws from the store. In short, a new product already has problems and I'm the one who'll have to solve them. I felt cheated by this purchase.
Bad itemAnonymousI had my couch delivered and paid to have it installed, Not only a few months later a giant spring came out of the couch and could have caused injury! this is very alarming. I can't attache photos but I can describe it. A large snake coil spring from under the couch released with such force it ripped through the fabric and came out of the couch. it coiled around and is now protruding through the fabric! I would not recommend this couch to anyone who cares for their well being.
Completely different comfort level from showroomSteveThis sofa bed felt comfortable and soft in the showroom, but it was extremely firm when we had ours delivered. Night and day. Even thr springs in the cushions we're incredibly uncomfortable. I would not recommend this sofa bed. We're returning ours.

We love our couchGoldieWe purchased the Barslov sofa a few months ago and we love it. It is very comfortable and the pact that it pulls out means our whole family can relax on it together. The blue colour goes with everything we have and is a great alternative neutral.
Nice couch overall, poor quality assuranceJudyWe like our new couch and the assembly would've been fine... if it weren't for all the bolts that were badly machined and bolt holes that weren't drilled properly! We had to go to customer service to exchange a few bolts as well as one of the backing pieces which had a badly drilled hole (it wasn't circular). Maybe we just got very unlucky, but be aware that this might happen.

Great couch, horrible bedDanielleI picked this couch because I really liked the colour and it was comfortable. We frequently have guests and liked the option of offering them a sofa bed. That is where this went down hill fast! The sofa portion attaches to the bed through a bolt and hook, but the bolt is too short and the bed constantly separates from the couch with the tiniest of movements- a very uncomfortable experience for anyone trying to sleep on it! I ended up returning the couch.
QualityEveWe bought this couch less than a year ago and it keeps detaching so uncomfortable it’s quite annoying to always reattach it ! I was looking forward to this couch but was so disappointed and the quality of the couch in general is poor I can tell it won’t last many year the fabric gathers around arm sides and the pillows with lounge ! We have other ikea couch and we owned it for years and I still love it but this one for the price that it is it did not stand up to it ! Very upsetting!

Major design flaw - do not buy!RosieUnfortunately, the major detachment issue mentioned in reviews on February 11th and April 14th persists. We purchased this product in July without knowing that there is an ongoing issue with the sofa bed section detaching from the main part of the couch. This is an existing issue with the Frihiten as well but at least with that design there are workarounds that we've learned about. Unfortunately, the design of the Barslov has made these workarounds impossible and there are no obvious solutions. The sofa bed is not usable as the pull-out section detaches from the main section as soon as there is weight on it. We are waiting on a response from IKEA but in the meantime strongly suggest that you do not buy this product. We have confirmed that we assembled the couch correctly and all parts are in working order so this is not user error or faulty hardware. This is a design flaw.
Make sure you have a toolboxLizNice couch but there was an issue putting it together. My husband had to refit the two side attachments as the screws supplied were too small.
