Not 20 years worth of lighting!BrennanWe bought this light bar about 5 years ago when we did a bathroom Reno. This morning it just stopped working. I am not paying another 80$ to have only another 5 years of lighting. The website says it is suppose to last 20 years at 3 hours a day. We definitely are not in our bathroom for 3 hours a day. Imagine the waste in the landfill and of course the waste of money to have to replace these every 5 years. I am so disappointed as I did love the fixture.

Beautiful light!TinaLove how low-profile and discreet this track light is. Although the spotlight heads themselves are very small, the LED lights are powerful and work great in my walk-through closet.

Looks good, Buzzing sound, ReturnedUroojThe lamp itself looks great, however, the lights make a loud of buzzing noise. It's appears to be a known issue, based reviews and reddit threads, but Ikea continues to sell these lamps. We returned the one we purchased for a different lamp which works great.
We suggest avoid Ikea Bave lamp do to it's poor quality.
The lights are very bright.LyndaThe lights are very bright. It limited where we could aim them as they were too bright to shine into peoples' eyes. The attachment plate is not set up so that it easily covers an existing hole for a light. That also limits where the light can be placed. Other than that the light is great.
Buzzing noiseDominiqueAlthough these lights are very stylishb, they make a very noticeable buzzing noise. This noise is present even on a standard switch. Tried a led certified dimmer to no avail.
Seeing all the comments about this issue, we can conclude that IKEA new about this but decided to sell them anyways.
Audible buzzing noiseSerhiiThis light produces loud buzzing noise (with regular on/off switch) usually for the first 5-8 minutes, sometimes longer. Sometimes quitter buzzing lasts till the light is off.

Compromised appearance with qualitySerhii1. The appearance is good, would be nice to have more color options like graphite and black. Not for bedroom!!! The light is too awakening because the led bulbs are flashed with the fixtures. If it was deeper into the fixture like 5-7 mm, it wouldn't be so hard on your eyes. Even if your eyes are at the level of leds, you can still see the sharp bright light right into your eyes.

3. As usually with IKEA lights, had to expose more wire in order to have sufficient contact with home wires.
4. The mounting holes are different in size, one was 1mm smaller, so that a regular electric box screw couldn't go through, had to enlarge it.
5. It would be better to have a thicker mounting plate with beveled edges (for nicer look) in order for screws to be flushed with the surface instead of being all exposed.
6. The light rail is not straight, neither in horizontal, not in a straight line way. The difference between opposite sides is at least 5 degrees. Sturdiness is not there.

Surprisingly BrightKelleyWe bought this to replace an outdated and similarly shaped light fixture in our living room above our fireplace. The old one was original to our condo (over 25 years old) and just looked bulky. Our ceiling had been painted before we moved in and I didn't want an unpainted section showing if we went with a smaller footprint fixture. I was very surprised at how well it blends in to the white ceiling and I was even more surprised when we turned it on and it lit up our entire living room! It was easy to install (I've done it a few times and knew what to expect and how to do it) and my husband and I put it up in less than 15 minutes. I would buy this product again and recommend it for small living spaces that need lots of warm light. I would suggest having someone install it for you if you have never installed a light fixture. Remember: Always turn off the breaker before changing any light fixture and test to make sure the power is actually off before you start your project.
