An incontestable waste of moneyEdwardI read the reviews about the difficulty of assembly, but bought it anyway. Having dealt with my share of IKEA assembly annoyances, I thought to myself that it couldn't be that hard. That was a mistake. The base of the lamp is flimsy. The plasticized paper that forms the lamp's striking 'whimple' is even flimsier. It is impossible, and I mean impossible, to anchor the rivits that hold it in shape without wrinkling the shade's paper. In short, the appearance of the lamp in IKEA's photos is attractive; the appearance of the lamp after you have put it together is not. I threw it out.
Not as good as I hopedMichaelit was more difficult to put together than expected and feels very flimsy and I am not a fan of the irregular light bulb type
