They are easy to assemble, use ordinary lightbulbs and energy efficient bulbs, beautiful and never fail. They are elegant. Friends think I bought them at a special lighting store. Worth the money. I see over the pandemic Ikea raised the price to 29.99. Still highly recommended. And the floor lamp version is also as excellent.

Safety hazardLesI just spent ten minutes on the ikea website trying to find out how I can report a safety hazard by email with this lamp to no avail so I am writing a review instead. I have had this lamp for about 3 years and loved it. Yesterday the plastic lamp shade interior started to disintegrate into large sharp plastic shards. I found out by finding one in my young sons mouth. Luckily he was not injured. I have been using the appropriate ikea lightbulb. It is an safety hazard especially for families with small children who may put things in their mouths. I now have to try to find a new shade to fit or throw this lamp out. Beware of this issue when purchasing!
