Where we’re disappointed is the top half of the chimney stainless steel colour does not match the rest of the housing. Like it’s a different steel. For the cost, this is quite disappointing. 3
Button not workingThibaultThe button on the control panel were getting stuck behind the aluminum when pressing them. Ikea sent a team to fix it, they were not able to fix the issue. I had to uninstall unit and go back to ikea. The unit they gave me had the same issue. They check for a third unit and the issue was still present. The person at the return and exchange desk told me they have no clue of what are the next steps for their units and stock and reimbursed me. So I have lost a tone of time, I have to find another hood and I need to fix the holes I have made to install the hood in my kitchen. AWESOME experience...1

Installation nightmareAleksandarIt was all good until the last step of the installation - attaching the exhaust cover. Unfortunately, some screws were missing, and the staff at Ikea Coquitlam (BC) couldn't tell me which screws to use. They provided me with a bunch of screws, but all of them were too big. As a result, I ended up damaging my ceiling and still couldn't attach the cover. If I hadn't already put everything else on the wall, I would return this product!2
HoodMarnieI wasn't impress when it didn't work right after it was installed . The customer service was horrible trying to get help. The only solution was to drive 3.5hrs to Toronto to return it and take a day off work. The hood works fine but the trouble wasn't worth it.5
Range Hood FanRickNot the best value for money. Stainless steel gauge quality and CFM blower are on the lower end. Nice appearance, but these two shortcomings don't justify the high price.2

Sound levels

Sound levels for appliances are measured in decibels (dBs). Our extractor hoods have been tested in speed 3 to determine the dB level. The sound level of your extractor hood is affected by: • Type of installation. Exhaust-mode or recirculation-mode. • Length and diameter of the exhaust pipe between extractor and exhaust vent. The longer it is and the smaller the diameter, the louder it gets. • 90° bends. The more bends you have in the exhaust pipe, the greater the sound.

Quality

Sensitive to noise or have an open-plan home?

For extractor hoods, a noise level below 60 dB is considered low – roughly equivalent to a normal conversation between two people. We measure the noise level of our hoods at max speed, making it easier to compare different models. Note that sound levels decrease at lower speeds, and recirculating hoods are typically louder than those vented outdoors. Noise may also increase if the ducting is long or has several bends, as the air has to work harder to pass through the system.
