This cover is made from Knisa fabric in polyester, which is dope-dyed. It’s a durable material which has a soft feel.

The design is versatile and fits in many different environments. The clean-lined look makes it easy to add a personal touch with cushions and throws.

The seat is made with foam and zigzag springs that provide firm and supportive comfort – both when you sit and lie down.

Extremely susceptible to stainingTimHave had this sofabed for over a year now, and while it is stylish, compact, sturdy and comfortable, the fabric - at least the lighter grey shade - is extremely susceptible to staining. Skin oil, dye transfer from dark (well-washed) clothing, or god forbid, any kind of food contact, will render your sofa permanently stained. IKEA's recommendation of wiping with a damp cloth is useless. Our house is full of wonderful IKEA products (including another, different sofa) and none of them have ever proven to be so delicate. Very disappointed.2

This shines in both roles. Now the mattress is quite firm, which is how I like my bed, so if you are not as comfortable on a firm mattress you can simply add a softer topper. For the price, this is an outstanding buy in my opinion.5

OK for occasional useEdWe received the sofa bed and followed the instructions to assemble the unit. At the end, there was one screw that won’t fit the hinge. It was just too big and heavy to request a return. The fabric is ok for occasional use, it doesn’t look like it will last long. 3

Great couch, comfy bed! Get yourself a grey FULL/DOUBLE-sized mattress cover for extra durability!CarleighOurs is the darker grey version. We bought a protective grey full-sized mattress cover that had some neat subtle stitching (from Amazon) and use it as a stylish cover that fits the whole couch (minus pillows) even when it’s not set up as a bed. We repurposed some flexible tubing to squish in the bending back of the couch to hold the cover in place. This was bought for our kids’ hangout space/computer room, although the whole family will often chillax in there now. My 12 year old and I set it up without issue. It’s was a bit awkward to carry up stairs as we have tight corners. We took it out of the box in the front entrance but in hind sight we should have temporarily tied it closed. We have had adult guests sleep on it as a bed and the reviews have been great. It is on the firmer side. My fav part, aside from finding the aftermarket mattress cover, is that all the extra bedding stores below it for when it needs to be a guest space. Decent amount of storage. Bonus was the price point! 5

Just perfect

Fits perfectly in my study/guest room. More compact than my previous Friheten sofa bed, but still takes fitted double bed sheet exactly. Easy access to ample under bed storage, and doesn't require dismantling to get through doors and into lifts.
